Markus Nielsen has passed away.

One of the most electric players in paintball history, and certainly the most polarizing has passed away today. Many of us grew up watching his mega run-throughs and blazing paths he took down the field. He was always ready to do whatever it took to win a point and for a short time, he was one of the best players in the World. The enigmatic leader of Arsenal and many other teams will be sorely missed by me and Im sure many others.

Marcus played his first World Cup with my team from Sweden. We were looking for a player and he turned up to play. He said he was on Farside but we found out he was not 🤷*♂️ He never payed his way (true Marcus style lol ) and to be honest he was’nt that good. He was 16 I believe and the year should have been 1998 if I remember right. Fast forward a couple of years and Dynasty showed up to play the Joy Masters in Stockholm and to our surprise he was on the team! We could not believe our eyes. The rest is history.
Marcus was a very nice person and such a legend on and off the field. Rest in peace Marcus!

I think he came up with chicago Aftershock back in the day, and then played seasons with dynasty, arsenal, XSV and of course the dream team, and Hollywood hk. I know he was really really close with a lot of the OG dynasty guys too, a lot of them are making posts about him right now

Pretty sure Markus lived at the Dynasty house for a time.

He walked off Farside to join Aftershock at World Cup 1999.

I remember practicing against him when he was on Arsenal. Was a funny *** dude. If you knew anything about his lifestyle, he lived fast and crazy. RIP.

. I scrimmed with him back when he was in Chicago (Somewhere around 2000-01 maybe?) and he was a fun dude. Stubborn as a mule but a fun dude.

Marcus wouldn't have been on Farside yet in 1998. I didn't even know he was at Cup in 1998.

I believe he was playing on a feeder team but aside from watching him play for a few seconds in the woods at an event we were reffing, I didn't know him until the following year when he did make the team. He rode the bench at the start of 1999 but we won our first national tournament together. By World Cup, he ghosted us and showed up to play with Aftershock. He won World Cup that year with Aftershock.
