Oliver Lang and Alex Fraige created Hormesis Paintball last year and released their first series of hand made headbands in December 2020. (I am surprised there has not been a post here on PBNation/but here we are.) The first series labeled Single Arrow included 100 headbands with 12 different designs. Each headband is unique due to being hand dyed and sewn in Bali. Each headband has one of three tags (Red, Grey, Gold).
Each headband comes with an pin, bag and a box with a magnetic closure to keep the goods safe. They are priced from $85 - $100 with free shipping (within the contiguous US). A few Dynasty players used these headbands during their NXL 2020 World Cup win so they must be infused with magic.
A few words from Alex Fraige regarding the project below:
Our motivation is to create a special product that will instill confidence and focus. Something crafted with care and attention out of natural and organic materials. A piece of material to collect memories, the successes and the failures. A reminder that each moment happens only once, embrace it, give your best and leave nothing behind.
We are creating Hormesis headbands for players that are willing to go the distance to accomplish their goals, weather they strive to have fun, win tournaments, bond with a friend or family member, build a team, or capture the rush of the game.

Every single one of their headbands in sold out. I like the idea. I have a feeling 5-10 years from now these first editions will be worth more than $100.
Well when you have people asking $500 for snow camo flex masks I guess I can’t be too surprised at $85-100 headbands. I don’t really understand it but I guess to each their own.
I bought one of these headbands and it's awesome. Never seen anything in this industry packaged so well and they appear to be very high quality. I wish I could have proofread all the language they used as there were several errors, but oh well. It pumped me up just reading all the messages they included.

When I buy a piece of clothing, the thing I care most about is the packaging.
He’s not the same guy I grew up idolizing, it is sad. Everyone typically changes a lot and permanently once they start using psychedelics often. In fact they would explain how most religions started, everyone was eating those magic mushrooms. Regardless, he’s still an incredible human being...i’d build a shrine for him

Very well behaved and neat guy overall. I am no longer the PBN troll. Some fool named bargainz took the crown from me.
Yeesh. A lot of strong opinions on the GOATS. I thought this was a positive/encouraging community. Enjoy Yourselves 😉
You've not been around here much, then?
$85-$100 for a headband in insane no matter how it's marketed. Good for them, to have sold them all but clearly this is not something which was created for the masses.
Hippies usually grow up and turn into capitalists. Give the kids a couple more years and they will be voting Republican. The cycle of life.

I didn't know that over-charging for your headbands because you know they will sell is a positive/encouraging thing.
If these headbands were made by any pro player(other than like guys with huge socials like Ronnie or YaYa or Greenspan now) they would barely sell at $30-40.
Not to mention Ollie is having some Bali village people make them for him for pennies.
I love Ollie as a paintballer, like everyone I grew up watching clips of him on repeat, but this is a pure money grab move.

I agree.
I would rather they not do the ridiculously overkilled packaging that gets thrown out right away and save me $25 on it.
I don't have an issue with the pricing.. I have had the same sandana for the last 15 years.. unfortunately HK copied the design so lots of kids have it now but whatever.. your head gear is part of your personal gear something you will keep unlike paintball guns which come and go. I get the idea behind it and look forward to what else they offer. As far as some of these comments because they are asking $40 more than what your willing to pay.. either make more money or move along you don't have to buy it
