Feel so fortunate and honored to have worked so closely with P8nt as Team Strange emerged as a top-ranked Amateur team to one of the most disruptive professional 10-man teams during the golden years of paintball.
P8nt had an uncanny way of telling an entire story through a single image that literally made you feel like you were actually living that very moment of time without reading a single word. To this date, I have never come across this level of artistry within any other sport.
Cheers to my ol friends and cannot wait to get my hands on a copy!

Well, that was funded faster than I expected but just as I’d hoped.

I may have never been anything more than a ****ty d3 player but those 5yrs were some of the best years of my life...
started playing in 98, a deployment in 2001 that lead to meeting The Family in Colorado springs and meeting La Soya in Denver, to playing tons of Texas events...
These magazines keep me from going crazy when i couldn't play and even after my accident in 09 - it was finding a facefull mag. in my old stuff that prompted me to give it another try...
cant wait to get my book, should make for a great Birthday gift to myself as i turn 40 in January....

I turn 40 in February and like you I was never better than a D3 player but for 5 or 6 years of my life that was the lifestyle for me. Traveling all over the place with my friends, drinking crappy beer, playing pranks and occasionally winning a tournament or two. It was the best years of my life. Now I've got two kids I cart around to their stuff, work my 40 hours a week and maybe get one weekend a month during the summer to play. I don't have a lot of pictures from this time frame so this book is the next best thing for me.

Pledged. My first tastes of paintball were at the tail end of this era, and I remember buying every mag that I could get my hands on to read about these players/events/etc because I was too young to actually travel to them. Very psyched to revisit some of those memories.

Paintball News Rules |
- No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
- Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
- If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
- Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
If you have questions, please post them in the Talk to Mods/Admins forum.
