Best paintball commercial ever? #growpaintball
It seems like everyone now knows what paintball is, but how are we getting out the word that paintball is just plain fun and everyone needs to try it? #Growpaintball has become too much of a punchline recently. We love seeing people actually trying to grow the game we love.
Pittsburgh Paintball Park and Nick Cucuzza put together this amazing commercial to do just that. Have you ever seen a better one? Where?

That’s well done. Very professional.
If I was to nitpick: I was surprised that I heard the terms “got shot” and “guns” instead of “eliminated” and “markers”.
Moms don’t like their kids getting shot by guns. Eliminated by markers sounds more likely to be approved by mom.

I like that they have a video for safety orientation, that's pretty convenient you will probably grab peoples attention more rather than having some 16 year old kid shouting the rules.

So waaay back when I did safety orientations for the field I ran, I had to stop using the word "marker." People simply didn't know I meant the gun.
Marker was just too politically correct and people didn't understand what it was.

Very very well done.
Side note: it’s scary this would stand out quite so much. Any field could pay $2k and have a package of video and tons of other marketing material of similar quality.
There are a lot of young/hungry videographers out there that would probably even undercut that price and provide something amazing.

Its always nice to see good advertising for this sport. But I grow the sport by taking my son to play. He tells his friends and they beg their moms to try it. Everyone wins.

P3 is a great field. I miss getting to play there. I don't know if they still do Friday night lights but that was always a blast.

Yes, this commercial would have been infinitely better if the director had removed all the excited, off-the-cuff remarks and replaced them with scenes of people tripping over BS newspeak that only matters to idiots. Just imagine how much someone would want to come play paintball after seeming some joyless 12 year old say "it was so great with I got *checks notes* marked with a gelatin compound by my friend."
Seriously, imagine being so convinced of the greatness of your chosen sport that you think the real reason Timmy's mom doesn't want to drive 2 hours to the middle of nowhere to spend $150 on paintball is that the evil commercial people used the wrong keyword. |
