Lightbulb Has anyone had knee surgery and returned to paintball?

I haven't played in probably 10-12 years but had patella knee cap relocation surgery after a fall last September. I feel 90% right now but I haven't tested myself running through a muddy *** field and sliding around. I'm also in the mid 30s and 220lbs.

If anyone had knee surgery and returned to play did you wear a specific brace or pads?

Paintball has been on my mind a lot lately and besides for my knee i'm in a great position to get back into it.

Thanks for any info.

Also I did a search and couldn't find anything. All the results were people selling knee pads.

Marcello Margot (Dynasty) mentions his knee surgery on his podcast ever so often.

It would probably be best to follow your doctor’s advice and, if you play, wear think knee pads.

I've broken both of my knees and had ACL surgery twice.
Still out and playing, its important to stretch and wear good kneepads/brace

Hey Tracy, physical therapist here. If you had the MPFL ligament reconstruction you've surpassed that 6-month healing time for return to sport. Getting into your mid-30's, warm up a bit more than in your 20's. Play your first few times at 80%, having fun and more so getting back into the swing of things rather than trying to be uber competitive.

Same, both ACLs and then ACI on right knee. Just know your limits and you'll be fine.
