Magfed marker or put a magfed shell on the Phenom

I have a Dfender with an Axe with a tac shell as backup for scenario play. I'd like a pistol FS or round and a mag fed FS round. I have a Tippmann Phenom which seems to break balls with the flatline. Our team captain will trade me a Tipx for the Phenom giving me a pistol or should I buy a magfed shell for the Phenom? Another option is to buy a purpose build magfed such as the MG100 or T15.

Either way I would probably get rid of the Phenom.

Depending on if you really want a pistol or not then take your Captain up on his offer of the TiPX or I’d definitely recommend the EMEK MG100.

The TACAMO Hurricane magfed kit for the Phenom is a really nice lil setup. I see MCS is doing a pre-order for the next batch that will ship somewhere between Oct or November. If you get this kit, pick up the Lok-Bolt upgrade as well to prevent feed issues and blank shots.

Coming from a player who also used the Phenom and a magfed adapter kit for it, Pick up the MG100 and run with it. I absolutely love mine and doubt that it will be leaving my inventory any time soon.

Hopefully that TiPX comes with quite a few extras, otherwise your team captain is trying to screw you on that deal.

Anyway, never trust anyone who tells you to get rid of the Phenom. They're awesome markers and are indestructible. Personally, I'd go with the Tacamo kit. I had an MKP-II with the lok bolt and seriously regret getting rid of it. That thing was awesome.
