More people need to use this thread, Davis is badass.

Anybody know the paint rates? I'm planning to go out there in Feb, because I'm tired of Sherwood. 蚪.蚪

I played here for the first time on the 5th during the "big game" I loved it, the staff was really helpful, and unlike the jungle, they don't charge you for o-rings... I'm Def going again, seeing as my team is tryin to make this our home field. gotta say thanks to Sgt. Lennon of Armed Force and Eric of outfit paintball for pointing this field out to our team

Went to play for the first time here a couple weeks back, everybody was pretty helpful. Was an all around enjoyable experience and will most likely be going back soon.

i Played at Davis for the first time 2 weeks ago. The air ball field was good for the most part except to the snake side corner where the turf was sketchy. the air consistently filled my tank to 4500 psi. all in all a great field.

Davis is a decent field, although I was frustrated with their group play rules the last time I went out and haven't been back since.

I bring my own gear, not so I can pour cases of paint down field, but so my markers are reliable and accurate. Most of the time I run a mechanical autococker, but I also have an e-frame Spyder that gets occasional use.

The last time I went, there was a limited number of rec (non-airball) players and I was told I could not play with this "rental only" group, which was composed mostly of my group of friends, without trading in either of my markers for one of their field rentals. While I understand they don't want some jerk going in with a high end electronic marker and lighting up a new player (which is miserable for the new player), a mech autococker is not exactly a ramped Ego, and it's really the ref's job to monitor things like that.

With no other options (unless I wanted to play serious airball, which I'm not equipped for), I traded in my very reliable autococker for their extremely unreliable Spyder and spent the next couple hours cleaning broken balls out of the chamber and barrel every other round.

I have never had any issues like this at Capital Edge, the neighboring field in Sac. In fact, I've played with groups of kids at that field with nothing more than a caution to go easy on them. I actually love this environment, because kids take the sport way less seriously than some of the over-the-top veterans, and I have no problem taking it easy on them to make sure they keep having fun.

What I don't appreciate is a field restricting groups to "rental only" play, particularly on days where there aren't that many people to play with. If people pay for entry, let them play, and let the refs sort out behavior problems on the field.

I can echo what StarfuryTH says, frustrating when they don't have enough people for a rec game and not wanting to pay the airball fields.
