New Vforce Grill 2.0 coming soon from GI/KORE

I’ve got the rumored details of the fancy new updates to the Grill. It’s coming out at Cup, so pictures by Wednesday.

New mask rumored to have the following features:

-Easily replaceable foam with no glue needed.
-Soft ears.
-Better breathability and better voice projection.
-Better visor that just pops in.
-Similar mean look.
-Takes the same lenses as original Grill.

Sounds like they basically took all of the best qualities of other high end masks and incorporated them in to the Grill.

I loved my OG Grillz, but just moved on to something else as time went on. Been digging all the limited runs they have been doing lately, but not enough to switch back, these might do it.

I liked some of the OG Grills mostly due to the patterns. I am still sad that I lent or lost my sand camo ones.

I picked up one of the 2021 limited colors simply because the color reminded me of my old sand ones.

However, I am really impressed with the new Grill 2.0. I think it delivers everything someone would want out of a modern goggle.

And I can confirm it takes the same lens.

Hoping it has a bit more breathing room in the front center. The Grillz 1.0 was quite tight to the face around the mouth and chin.

I’ll second that..I would still be using the one I used to own today if it wouldn’t have damn near suffocated me to death. I have to have that extra room and great ventilation otherwise I have to find something else…I thought the grillz were amazing looking, for great, had a perfect profile for me and I loved the hd lenses…unfortunately I had to sell it and find something else

Maybe the 2.0 will remedy that one short coming for me! Super glad to hear a out this mask!!!

The original grill did already have an easily replaceable foam system (foam frame). Hopefully this is a return to form for them, since there was many cost saving things that was done that did not benefit the consumer (severely cheaper google bag, removal of temple foam pads). I ditched the grill after I tried the cmd mask, the biggest benefits being less echoing

ooo im excited. the griills were my favorite mask when they came out. only reason i didnt get a pair lately is because of the Push Unites. Not a huge fan of soft ears anymore but if these look dope and the color highlights are done right then ill more than likely pick one up.

Still rocking the Grillz and they are my favorite mask at the moment. The breathability could be improved some although it is not nearly as bad as people state. The protection on the mask is just awesome and I really like how the lense disassembly is designed.

I am interested to see what the new one is like. I would like to see the foam replacement become a little more affordable and maybe help them breath slightly better. I am not interested if they double the price though.

After switching over to a Push a couple years back it would take a lot for me to switch to something else.

I used to love the Grill, they were my primary for quite some time, having a few different designs. But over time I got sick of the variable quality, my last pair (lovely looking Desert SE) had some real QC issues and the lenses were just rubbish. I switched to Vio for a while and now wear Bunker Kings CMD which are the nicest goggles I've ever worn with the best lenses.

Similar to comments above, the new Grill would have to be something utterly astonishing for me to switch away from the Virtue/CMD platform.

PS. Why on earth to people keep incorrectly calling them 'Grillz' ?

Am I in the minority who find the Grill a very uncomfortable mask? some of them look fantastic, but I hate wearing them.

Can't wait to see these. The Grillz are probably still to this day the most badass looking goggle IMO.

Yeah and I find that the mouth protection is terrible. I ate more paint with mine than I cared for. It's a shame because I do love the look of the Grill.

I got shot the other day point blank in the mouth with my Push and barely had any paint get through. I would have been spitting out paint (and probably blood) with the Grill. Maybe I'm the minority that gets hit in the mouth but I don't know how you use them and don't eat paint all the time. The Push protected me and I love the way they breathe.

Wow, the first new high end Vforce mask in 15 years! I really thought there never would be another. Considering they went from releasing a new mask like every 2 years (Morph, Profiler, Grill), then nothing.... Kinda figured they were done designing new things, content to just make new colors of their established lineup.

I could be wrong, be I seem to remember an ad back in like 2005-2007 or so where there was a Vforce Grill goggle with a chain and diamonds, where it said 'Vforce Grillz' in the ad. I seem to remember it from either Splat or Paintball Games International. I may have been Mandela effected on this one, but I have a pretty vivid memory of that ad. Does anyone else remember that?

You're leaving off the Armor! But it is a budget mask.

Super common misperception.

Are we 100% sure it never was Grillz? I feel like I remember more than a few ads with that spelling. Especially since it was during a time where every company on earth was adding a 'z' to make things cooler!

Ill consult my magazine collection and report back.

100%, I checked some old PGIs from when they launched in 2006.

Also:
https://www.warpig.com/paintball/tec...goggles/grill/

Those old thermocure lenses were great, until they screwed them up so they could upsell the more expensive dual pane lenses.

During the products launch they used the tagline ‘for the illest’ with some bling imagery. Vforce owned PGI’s back cover for a long time. Throughout it was only ever Grill.

Yes, if I was counting their mid to low end masks I would have also said the Vantage (also from 2006). But even the Armor redesign is from 2008, and the last Vforce design was the Sentry in 2012, so a 9 year drought really had me thinking the brand was done.
