I used an Inception trigger, Inception secret pin and an Eclipse FL 3-way in my Emek/Etha 2 build. I used it over the weekend in a 10 man mech event. I shot between 8-9 pods in each of 8 total games. I didn't have a single issue. It shot perfectly. What I was amazed by is I had zero short strokes. I had previously used a friends Emek that had the Hair 45 valve and an aftermarket trigger. I would get a short stroke every once and a while. With the Eclipse FL 3-way and Inception parts it didn't short stroke once. I would get a slightly different sound signature sometimes if I didn't pull the trigger all the way but it still fired every time. The rate of fire seems to be the same between the Hair 45 valve and the Eclipse FL 3-way with the secret pin.

I am very impressed with how easy it is to shoot fast, how light the trigger pull is and how reliable it has been so far. The Inception Fang trigger, Inception secret pin and the Eclipse FL 3-way is a killer setup for an Emek!

Did you install/set the trigger on this particular set-up, or was it already done and you just borrowed it and shot it the way it was ?

Short stroking isn't a product flaw, it's a user issue, when the user doesn't fully cycle a trigger, short stroking occurs. So by setting up your trigger yourself, you make it shoot to your liking vs someone who slaps a trigger in and doesn't fine tune it for optimum performance.

I understand what your saying. I did not adjust the trigger on the Emek that had the Hair 45 valve. I will say the trigger was set perfectly to my liking though. It had minimal pre and post travel just the way I like it.

I did adjust the trigger on my setup with the FL 3-way valve. I got it nice and short but with a bit of pre and post travel.

All I know is my setup worked flawlessly. I am very impressed with the FL 3-way valve and the Inception pin. I have shot many Hair 45 valve Emeks and 170rs. They are all good setups. I imagine a Hair 45 valve could be setup well for me that I would never short stroke.

  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
