I remember the g6r's always blowing out asa orings, the one where it mates to the frame. Going low pressue reduced that a lot. Not a made up issue, but who cares about facts right?

Can’t find the info now but I read somewhere the pistons are NOT interchangeable. Is that correct?
Because of the shape of the pistons?

That occurs under very high pressures. Not 500-600 psi.

If you're referring to changing between gen2 and gen3 that is correct. Gen2 has the reg seat in the piston, and gen3 does not.

I have been all Ninja for years.

I just bought one of these.

Emailed from the site about buying one already setup 850 PSI output for Automags.

Got an almost immediate response that they would custom build one.

Looking forward to trying it out.

Last weekend was an excellent testing ground for my Powerhouse regs as we were shooting 15bps ramp in an old school xball event. Everything seemed super consistent over the chrono and lanes became steady ropes. Recharge rate was on point. Looking forward to trying out the extended length Haymker.

Just FYI for all those who are seeking a low-pressue Gen3 HAYMKR Powerhouse setup; if you email them directly you can request whatever output you require and they will set it/gauge it before shipping.

Standard output Gen3 reg = adjustable from 400-700psi
Low pressure output Gen3 reg = adjustable from 300-550psi

Carl sent me this info when I went thru him to order a Gen3 set to 300 PSI.

Not to take anything away from Powerhouse, but regulators have far outperformed 15 bps in terms of recharge/consistency since at least 2003 (when I really started researching for the best products).

Iím sure they have but it was nice going from the ProV2 reg where I was experiencing shoot down, to my Powerhouse that seemingly cleared that up. Also the pressure on my ProV2 with all shims removed was reading over 900 psi when I finally measured it. Overall the switch has been noticeable for me and Iím now more confident and satisfied with my setup. Also the Powerhouse regs with the low profile burst disks just feel better.

You probably got a dud reg, it happens to all companies. Itís great news your Powerhouse regulator cleared up all of your problems though. They are the best regulator produced for paintball to this day, so enjoy it.

The dud is the ball-valve in the Ninja Regulators.

I have no doubt that he was experiencing shoot-down with a Ninja Regulator. They just don’t work well with all markers ASA’s...

People never seem to remember to rebuild their tank regs and all seats wear out over time. The ninja design is also really good minus the horrible ball valve.

It’s funny, I checked 3 guys tanks on Sunday and only 1 was in spec. The other 2 were over, 1 was at 1k output and the other maxed my tester out so who knows.

When we went to the SLAPS ASA on the dye guns it became glaringly obvious that tank outputs were all over the place. I'd really like to put a pre-gun reg over-pressure relief that limits the input pressure to 850psi maximum. If that ever happens, I think people will be shocked at how fast the tank regs move out of spec. I suspect this really isn't an issue with the design, so much as a product of contaminants getting into the system (from the supply).

Guilty but not for long. The ball valve didnít seem to cooperate with every marker we had up here. Most asaís would engage with it but a few didnít, so that was disappointing.

I fully agree with this, no one i know at my local field has ever thought of cleaning or rebuilding their regulator. Breathing air still has tiny bits of debris and contaminants in it that beat the hell out of the reg seat and piston seals causing these wild outputs numbers.

Blows my mind that people don't think to clean and rebuild their tank regulators. You do the same for the HPR in your marker, this is basically that on a higher pressure scale. Clean your stuff people!
