Selling car, go back to stock or sell as is

I have an 2013 Audi S5 that I'm getting ready to sell but wondering if I should put it back to stock before trying to sell it. I have the majority of the stock parts, so it would just be labor to swap them out. I don't think I'd have a big problem selling the aftermarket parts, and I think I would get more for them selling them separately than with the car. I also think more people will be interested in it stock, than with all the upgrades, so I'll be able to sell it faster.

Thoughts? Anybody else have to go through the same thing?

Here is picture of the car as it is today:

Always go back to stock. Especially stuff like hood and wheels. Suspension I wouldn't bother changing back out.

I had a minor accident in a fully built e36 m3 and ended up parting it for significantly more than the initial cost of the car. Similarly, unloading all my turbo bits on the e30 got me quite far towards an LS swap. Car parts retain waaay more value than pb parts.

Back to stock. You will come out further ahead, last two cars went back to stock before I sold them, like complete stock removing headers/mani/suspension components, etc etc, and I will do it every time, it paid for the first round of mods on each subsequent car and then some 😏.

It's much better if you do your own work, I can see how it would be less attractive for the people out there who have shops do everything, not sure which camp you are in in regards to that so ymmv.

Oh whoops see you would pay labor, regardless it will sell easier with as many stock components as possible, alot of people that buy used cars look for unmolested examples unless you sell to another car savvy person and talk with them about what's been done.

At least remove the big ticket items (hood/wheels/induction stuff/etc) and recoup some cash after the sale. Fyi if you are unable to sell private party and have to go dealer/trade route mods will be no value added so might as well remove them and sell separately.

Kind of what I thought and the route I was leaning toward. I do work on my car myself so its just my time and labor I would be putting into it.

Totally worth it then, more money for parts on the new car 😎

Grab a 12 pack and knock it all out

Going back to stock will net you more, just requires time (if you do the work yourself)
