Syx Breaking Paint

Hi there. Relatively new paintball player, started a few months ago. Anyways, my local field had an original Syx for $300, grabbed that. I noticed it didnt come with the stock barrel. its a .685. Now, i have friends who have minis and axes, they rarely ever break paint. For some reason though, it seems like i break a ball every. single. match. Sometimes multiple times. Ive factory reset it several times, lowered the dwell to what empire says works better but to no avail. Everything has been thoroughly lubed by a friend whos played forever, im shooting 270 fps, hopper cleaned before every use, eyes clean, everything is how it should be. I just cant figure out why it keeps breaking. The only thing i can figure is either my bore is too small or the field paint is bad, though ive bought some marballizer as well and it worked (slightly) better. still broke though. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? and anyone familiar with these markers?

To be clear, most of the time it breaks, not chops.

Have you tried shooting another barrel with a larger bore? If you play with anyone that hasn't had breakage issues see if they'll let you shoot their barrel for a game or two. All the paint we've been getting is wide, plus it's getting warm. I've been running .689 on apx paint and would probably be better off with .691 but I dont have a .691 back.

Just holding your barrel does your paint fall through your barrel? Or do you have to blow super hard to get the paint through the barrel?

A bit late to the party here but:

Make sure your detents are fully functional and not worn out.

Make sure your hopper batteries are fresh and that your hopper is keeping up with the ROF of the gun.

Make sure you aren't squeezing the opper feed too tight, causing paint to hang up while feeding.

Make sure your eyes delay time is set so that you can fire your hopper empty without issues.

Make sure your paint is of decent quality......90% of the time it's the paint.

Try another barrel of any kind just to be safe. A larger bore is better for brittle or oblong paint.

If your paint is brittle and you have no choice but to use it, try the squeeze test. If the shell has no give and shatters easily, you may want to pour the paint out and let it soak up a little bit of moisture to soften the shells up a tad until you notice a bit more flex. Then pod/bag it back up and give that a shot.

You can also try a whole different hopper to eliminate your hopper as the problem as well. Make sure you use fresh brand name batteries.

Make sure to change your gun battery and make sure to use a good brand name battery. Even if you are, change it anyway, sometimes you can get duds in the package.

Make sure your bolt cycles 100% of the way each shot. If it's not......you'll make a mess. You may have a bad noid if it doesn't, or the bolt spring is in backwards or your dwell time is too low for your gun. Axe drive trains can have bad blowback problems without using the proper orings on the bolt guide and bolt so make sure you not only have orings on there, but the proper ones. The bolt guide uses some metric which can confuse people.
