I donít think so, but honestly got to shoot one on Sunday and it truly is just a CS1 in a new skin. Would def not recommend buying it at full retail price.

Absolutley, the ones that make significant enough changes or totally new platforms. PE has started to really become the new Dye 2006-2009 where they are just releasing the same exact gun every single year. I'm not saying they need to make major changes every single year, but why not go back to the platform of only doing releases when they have enough changes to make it necessary?

People asked for us to bring back an IVCore gun. We gave them an updated one that as closely resembled an updated one of their favourites, the Geo3.5 in an updated, more reliable, and more user-serviceable form.

People still want to buy autocockers..... why bother making those when it's the same design as 25 years ago.... And funnily enough, a lot of people want us to start making those again...

Just sayin'....

I would say Everything PE has released in the last 5+ years has exactly what you are asking for, enough changes to make it necessary. A company would go out of business if they waited to release only product with major changes.

The Geo4 is exactly what many people were asking for and PE did not hide what this product is. They flat out said it was an IV core marker with ergonomics more along the lines of a 3.5/CS2 with some added convenience features.

I ask this genuinely, what about this marker is more reliable than the 3.5/CS1?

The Geo4 includes the same user-serviceable solenoid that the CS1 used, allowing users to rebuild the solenoid if necessary instead of just replacing it like in the Geo 3.5. While the failure rate of the 3.5 Solenoid remains very low, it was higher in initial factory testing than PE was comfortable with causing them to search for a replacement; that is one reason for the original CS1 design.

Given the Geo4 has a refined grip angle to make it much closer to the original Geo 3.5, it feels a lot closer to the Geo 3.5 than the CS1's stretched out feel did. For fans like me who still love the Geo 3.5, this is the perfect balance of ergonomics and user serviceability.

I got to shoot one of these over the weekend at my local field. It was really nice. PE knocked it out of the part with this one.

The solenoid of the 3.5 is not user serviceable and the SMC pilot used in the CS1/Geo4 is magnitudes more reliable than the MAC in the Geo3 line.

Can't wait to borrow my buddy's Geo4. Honestly I dig the feel and the look over the CS2.

The Geo 4 has been a dream gun in my mind before it was made. CS2 body with the iv core, cs1 trigger and updated features. I cannot wait for mine to come in. People will always find something to complain about it seems.

Not *really* the CS2 body.

But I'll agree that it's wonderful.

You know what I mean!

This was the thought when the CS2 came out. Either way I am excited and love everything about it

  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
