GEO IV:

The new Geo IV has taken the ergonomic feel of the Geo 3.5 and improved upon it. It has the comfortable CS2 rear grip, styling cues from earlier GEOs, Shaft FL Aluminium barrel and Geo branding.

I asked Jack Wood about it and he had this to say:
"The Geo4 will feel like an up-to-date Geo3.5 It has very similar proportions, stance, and shot characteristics, but is obviously hoseless and uses a lot of the newer tech from subsequent guns. Everyone who has shot it has said it is one of the most natural feeling and ergonomically on-point guns we have produced, and the IV Core gives it that proper old skool spool valve wooshy feel that is missing from a lot of the newer tech spool valve guns. It really is a gun that needs to be held and shot to appreciate how good it feels in the hands. I love what we have done with it."

IVCore buttery smooth firing experience.
Feels like a proper GEO with its feel in the hand.
Has a revised frame angle to give that proper GEO feel.
Body styling harks back to beloved older GEO models.

Jack went into more detail:

"So, the old Rivalry is back! We basically wanted to revive two of our most legendary platforms and bring back the Ego versus Geo battle. We are aware that most of our current line-up is now Gamma and GP Core based, but we know from what players have been saying over the past year or so that there is still a lot of love for our more traditional platforms, predominantly the LV/Ego/poppet layout, and the last iteration of the Geo, the Geo3.5 with the IV Core.

Of course we couldn't just do re-runs of those platforms. Things have moved on, plus we had some rather major technical challenges with both of those products that we wanted to address if we were ever to bring them back. So both Ego and Geo platforms are back with a slight twist on each to just bring them up to date and keep them relevant and useable even at the very highest levels.

The Geo4 will feel like an up-to-date Geo3.5 It has very similar proportions, stance, and shot characteristics, but is obviously hoseless and uses a lot of the newer tech from subsequent guns. Everyone who has shot it has said it is one of the most natural feeling and ergonomically on-point guns we have produced, and the IV Core gives it that proper old skool spool valve wooshy feel that is missing from a lot of the newer tech spool valve guns. Knew the IV Core shouldve been brought back. The shot quality demanded to be the flagship marker of PE. Love it. Can't believe I want two new paintball markers now. <333333333333

Are the batteries in the front grip or the grip frame???

i still have my geo 3.1 with IV core. that is one gun i will never part with because many reasons but mainly the reason is how it feels and shoots. its been a gun that has never let me down and i think to this day is the easiest bolt to properly lube, clean and maintain. im excited to see something like this continue the heritage of what the IV is and was, i wouldnt say is on par with the CS2 pros engine, forgot what it was called but its just another good reliable system.

This is one of the most beautiful guns I've seen in a really long time. Well done.

I've owned several 3.5's and they were both great guns. Love seeing the front foregrip updated. Price point is reasonable and sounds like a nice value.

The batteries are indeed still in the front grip. This is a proper shooter; the grip angle feels great and makes the Geo 4 feel a lot tighter in the hands than the CS1X. For those of you looking for a IV Core marker, this is going to scratch that need while having the updated ergonomics.

It does share some of the great parts of the CS1. The tooless eyes, the FSR, IV Core, but it has the updated grip frame that makes it feel completely different in the hands. This is a subtle but big change to the platform.

I like the green "*** Steve" edition.
Reminds me of it's predecessor from years ago, the "*** Fish" edition.

My bank account is about to go empty for both the new markers. Now my question is will there be both a CS line and a geo4 line or is the CS2 done for now (and will be done when the pros get all sold)?

If you read better, ofcourse the CS line will still be there. The GAMMA core is their ultra high end, where the IV core is for the people who like the more wooshy sound and shot!

I think you meant the IV core is the better core...
