I’m under the assumption that everything I enjoy about the DSR+ is your doing, and everything I dislike was somebody else’s decision.

And if you watched that video for any extended period of time, I feel sorry for you. I’m the most boring person I’ve ever met. Two hours of me would be torture.

I was getting serious about the pursuit of an all gloss black DSR+, figuring out all the hoops I’d have to go through. Losing my steam now, and just running the one I have seems easier. ALTHOUGH... I might do the DyeLab route. The idea of a proper custom anno, throw in all the different Dye barrels, that seems like an easier route to get what I want.

Current Top 3
1) DSR+
2) AMP
3) m170r or FLE Emek

That’s what I’ve been reaching for most lately. Bringing a few markers is better then like 5, and is just making the trip to paintball easier and more enjoyable. The mechanical space markers are for woodsball and if need be, the last option if all my electros fail. The DSR+ is a lot of fun to use and I’m getting better with it. But! The AMP is a lot of fun to use too, and works well for me in one on one situations.

Noa, I can't wait to get the mech out. I know you'll dig that and the single trigger electro. I also think the new ASA is going to be pretty sweet.

Goldie, I thought most of what I heard was pretty good content. You're more interesting than the IRB (research ethics) training I have to do for my doctoral studies. I thought most of the content was an honest appraisal and, while I doubt we'll check all your boxes, a lot of them are being considered.

I can’t wait to see what you came up with, John, both in the mech frame and asa. For the mech frame, how likely will it be compatible with the old DSR? If it takes slight modification to get it to work I’m all for it.

The CS2 mech frame was back in stock this week and sold out fast. Looking like winter before it becomes available again.

I thought Simon said he was getting a few in next week?

It is hard to believe the CS2 is 4 years old. It still stacks up so extremely well with newer markers. It could be the top high-end for PE for another year or two easily.

I feel like the original luxe was similar in its longevity. The first one launched in what, 2007? The drive train and form factor remained similar until 2016 and people still loved them.

The CS2 is certainly a platform I plan on using for a long time. It's just great.

It's crazier to think that the CS1, which introduced PE's "modern architecture", released in 2015.... Almost 7 years ago! PE raised the industry bar significantly at that time.

I think the Luxe V1 was released in 2008 at Cup that year maybe? I believe it was the same event that Bob Long announced the V2 Marq or Victory platform.

Good point Imped … 7 years is an eternity in technology. For that design to hold up as well as it has is astonishing.

I wasn't a part of the release, but the m2 infrastructure has aged pretty well too... the board is still arguably the most advanced. The CS1 is a really nice gun and I really enjoyed shooting mine, but at the time the 160R was also almost impossible to beat. No doubt Jack has done a ton for the sport.
