Micro Gauge Protector

Hello. I made this 3D printed gauge protector that fits on Ninja micro gauges. Like the one on the Ninja Pro V2 reg. It also fits the gauge on the HK Army Aerolite Extra Light 'Adjustable Regulator'.

https://www.shapeways.com/product/39...auge-protector

You can have it 3D printed and shipped to you if you follow the link.

I have the model specifically tuned for all the tolerances of the Shapeways nylon printer. Did a number of iterations so it fits just snug enough. Unfortunately Shapeways is a print on demand service so it's a little expensive right now, and depending it might take like 3 weeks to arrive. So be aware of that.

BUT, I have not seen gauge protectors exist anywhere else so far, and my gauges always crack, which is why I made this for myself. So thought I'd share if anyone else wants to prevent their gauges from getting cracked.

Interesting! I was going to ask how it locks on to the gauge until I checked the link. That's a nifty little solution you've made right there, well done.

the plastic cover on m gage breaks cause where i live its cold so the metal shrinks and squeezes the lens.

Nifty idea. My gauges are usually unreadable over time due to cracking and debris.

I actually thought about making this myself. As protection and casing for a new glas (mine cracked) cut out from a polycarbonate sheet.

Fit the hero 2 gages? I don't know how they compare to the ninja micro gauges.

I could add TPU print option, but it's more expensive. Would be over $20. The nylon that it prints in I think is quite good for this purpose though. It's rigid but still flexible.
