uhh... the price of the sl66 is now around 700 cash
lol no it isn't. I am the self appointed biggest XSV gun collector there is an they are not 700. One moron on Facebook posted one for 700 and got laughed at until he deleted his thread. I buy them for 300-325 on the reg.

Twstr's have been around in various forms for 20 years, Dynasty had custom milled guns for I think every PE release while they were sponsored, there was a gi 3.5, impact diamond cut 3.5 etc etc. PL milling never left, I don't understand why this myth keeps getting repeated.

Because from ~2010-2015 there was really nothing for the most part other than one or two guns. Did you play in the early 2000s? There were dozens of PL markers out back then.

Nah I joined in 03 but never actually played

Of course there was a drop off in PL's, there was also a drop off in markers overall between the SP stuff and economic issues. Nonetheless bob long had several g6r flavors, PE as I already pointed out was pumping out team editions, Vicious had several custom milled team guns from PE and Empire, there were still Warped Sportz customs coming out up to the Axe etc etc. The people that were still making guns were still doing custom work.

I don't buy guns like I used to but spotted that price when lurking FB and figured that prices have skyrocketed. I haven't really seen too many functioning SL66 on the market. Good to know they are still 300ish.

To Be fair there was definitely a period of decline. But even in the dark times there was the Vicious axe, impact cut 3.5 and Dynasty scales CS1.

Add in the Waffle LV1 which, I believe was out before the Scales and the Impact Cut 3.5.

I do like how laser engraving has gone a long way and custom anno's have become cheaper because people want something more than just the regular factor anno.

I would like to see some more people producing parts but I don't think the market is there for aftermarket parts.

I would like to see the milling of this luxe swirl around the luxe body not imitate the ripper milling. That would make it look very cool but may also infringe upon the twister trademarks.

Maybe mill in the HK logo instead of just buying jewels.

Looked like the back of the grip frame was milled too when I watch the facebook video. Can anyone confirm?

Edit: Paused and replayed a couple times. Definitely milled.

no. the people that cared enough spoke their peace when the G6r ripper was released from field1. one it was not a ripper milling, 2 it wasn't endorsed or greenlit by Eaton in any way. it received its due criticisms.

Its like when GM took the corvette z06 when the c7 rolled around, released it with an auto tranny and drop top. it was named but in no way lived up to being z06.

HK / DLXis being sensible by not calling it a ripper without eaton. though Im not a fan of the waves, I do appreciate they're putting more effort into what comes out the factory by offering more than just colors.

Sorry, I stop paying attention when anyone nerdrages about someone not bowing to the feet of someone to get "blessing" for some relatively generic cuts made on a paintball gun 16 years ago.

Legends were really nice guns. Not the greatest shot quality but fast, reliable shooters. That one looks like it is in excellent condition as well.

Thanks man, Ohh looks can be deceiving. The breech is so badly worn, there is battle scars all over it, it almost looks like it got hit by train up close.

But

It will always shoot no matter what. It may have some noticeable kick but never lets me down

If I were hk I would of had the hk logo milled into the body. I mean, if you're going to go "private label", why not **label** the marker? Else it looks like every other twisty thing that has been done.

  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
