Old post I know but in interest of helping anyone that see's this here goes.
Over here in Australia we have very strict laws keeping the paintball community small.
To own a paintball marker you have to be a citizen, own a class P firearms license and then get a permit to acquire before you purchase your marker.
You then have to get your marker sent from the shop to a registered firearms dealer paying $80+postage to have it transferred to you so you can store it in your safe.
Paintball is also banned in certain states because some toad shot some people up with a RIFLE. Emphasis on it being a damn rifle and not a paintball gun lmao.
Sell your gun, tank and hopper before even thinking of bringing it with you.
We have a safety classification on the tanks and no field will let you use a tank without the Australian certification.
Hoppers are considered magazines and customs will destroy them.
Age to play paintball in Queensland is 16.
This is for both tournament play/practice and punter/rental play.
Alternatively you can play with the splat masters from age 12.
Welcome to Australia, the nanny country that taxes you to death and crushes the definition of fun with more tax and endless licensing.
