The really old jt softstream from the mid late 90s is missing. It had a foam type lower with a had plastic nose bridge

Thanks for updating!

My first paintball poster was of the JT Spectra when it was released.

My first sponsored paintball mask was a Spectra and then a Flex-7.

I've probably worn JT masks more than every other mask combined.

While we are revisiting this thread... can we all take a moment of recognition for Greenspan's version of blue steel? Its legit.

I never understand why JT/GI never made a ProFlex mask that looks exactly like like the original but easy to disassemble with exchangeable foam. Great mask but taking those lenses out is a nightmare.

Safety issue, maybe, with the problem that the foam un-velcro-ing in the middle of a game could break the seal of the mask with the face.

The newest generation of Flex masks that came out this year borrow the lens retention system from the Premise line, so it uses an outer frame that locks down and secures a standard Spectra-size lens. This way you should get the quick-change ability of the E-Flex systems but with less overall weight.

There's a few mistakes about release dates of some masks, the first spectra were out on 94, the softstream were out in 90/92, but very good job for documenting all this. Sadly I don't have my very first spectra any more but I still have a lot of parts from different 90's era masks, see the crazy prices they are sold today I should list them in the B/S/T section.

How many different frames were made for the Proflex - spectra line?
Afaik its thin frame <2005> thick frame.

I guess the thin frames are therefore more valued?
