hi guys, im opening up a speedball field and want to be able to have night time playing. Do you guys have any suggentions on what kind of lamps should I be using for this?

Depends on how bright you want it. Street lamp brightness or Baseball Stadium brightness?

Back in the day street lamps were ~400 watt High Pressure Sodium lamps.

Now they make LEDs that have the same or better luminosity. 400 watt LEDs would be my choice for not much light with 1,500 watt LEDs being the brightest.

However, it also depends on how many total lights you have and where they are placed.

Thanks for the response, I played at a field once and it had decent lightning but it was impossible to see the paint in the air and thats the mistake im trying to avoid. Will try those 400 watt LEDs and move from there to see what works best for us. Thanks again Mr Charlie

Something like this??? only $120 each. Picture of my field above is 21 200w of the same lamp.

If I was going to redo the setup I would run 4 rows of 7 instead of 3 rows. I was running off generators so could only do 200watt lamps.
