I have a tank with the older style pin valve and I am in need of a new bonnet. Are they still available? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

If they are not, can I just purchase a ball valve rebuild kit and a ball valve style bonnet and install it in this older reg?

we do not offer the pin parts anymore but a dealer may have them????

otherwise you need the ball bonnet and the ball kit

ball kit part number is NINJAPVV2KIT

make sure you get the right bonnet for your reg- ninja or pro

I have a 77SL with V2 reg, there is a small leak from the top of the reg. Any ideas as to what could be causing this? Tank was dropped by a teammate when the leak started.

confirm the leak but filling the tank and dunking it in water or spraying it window cleaner

if it out the top of the reg where the ball is the seat needs to be flipped over or changed.

Leak is confirmed, it's not huge but I can definitely hear it. Well the tank is empty now so can't hear anything. I will take it apart tonight when I get home.

Also thank you for the quick response. I've never had any problems with regs so I didn't know what it could be.

So, I bought these gems last night from my local dealer

I noticed the square slot in the bottom of the reg tool, is this for a breaker bar? Can the tool be placed in a vice? I guess what I'm trying to ask is, what's the proper procedure to utilize this tool?

Thank you,
James

if you did not have a lot of air in the tank it could be fine and can you try and fill it to 1000 and see fi it still leaks?

james,

the drive is for a breaker bar or a torque wrench

you hold the tank in the vice with a lot of padding

I recently bought an slp reg and am using it on a dye m2. I've read people posting about having shoot down using them but then some don't. It's there a way to adjust the output pressure of an slp? I know it uses the Belleville washers.

You can add a thin silver shim to the reg to get a slightly more pressure which should work in your situation. Not sure why the pressure will be but it will be high enough for you to run the m2 without worry

I'm having the same issue, but not have any red shims. Can just do the same with my shims???

13ci worked great. Now. I have a SL68 w/ standard reg. It came with 2 red shims only. If I add those 2 back + 1 silver Pro shim, what should that net me about?

if a reg has 2 red and you add a silver you will get about 830-840 +/- 50 psi

I was draining my tank, and hit it a little too fast. Froze up and leaked from the set screw on the bonnet towards the end. Haven't aired it up yet, think it will be ok?
