v4.0: Now with no shockers, no cockers, and only like 5 markers

A little about the Intimidator...
The true intimidator, for the uninitiated, has four generations. Technically there are six, but the latter two generations are fundamentally different markers, albeit still great. The intimidator was first rolled out in 2000-2001 with the classic. The Ripper 1 and GZ models followed shortly after. They absolutely ruled the scene in tournament paintball, redefining what a high end could do. The functionality of the intimidator is pretty basic, it's a stacked tube poppet, open bolt, (apart from the species). As the next two generations came about, the intimidator got smaller, lighter and faster. One of the universally recognized aspects of intimidators is the breadth and quality of design done to compliment an elite marker platform. When the Dragon and Species were released in the second generation, the world stopped and stared. I've spent the last few years amassing a collection to display the best and rarest of what that legacy has to offer. Hopefully you guys get as much enjoyment out of this as I did bringing it all together.

Flame Intimidator (1/3)

Where do I start? Want to talk about unicorns? Flame, Hellwood, Ripper 1.25, Dark DM4, GMAX, Pre-Cup Strange, SFL EMag, Aurora Eclipse Cocker, Left Feed Predator, Wraith- can’t have a conversation about the rarest guns in the sport without those. As rare as the Hellwood is, it doesn’t really hold a candle to this. The flame was a Jim Eaton (Ripper Machinist) prototype in the 2k2 generation. One was made for the owner of Valken, (others say it was made for Bob), one for himself and one for his son. The latter two are the only ones that have ever been seen by the public. One currently belongs to Moosecakes, and I own the other. It is currently undergoing a long and careful restoration process to restore it to its original, (and highly unique) setup. It has some wear and the chrome is a little less shiny than I would like, small flaked areas in places, but it's kind of like the patina on an old car, it gives it personality and a story.

Hellwood (1/12)

The Hellwood is one of the three holy grails of intimidators. Don't let the total number fool you. This may be 1/12, but they are harder to find (for sale) than just about any other intimidator. What's more, of the 12, this is likely the most pristine example, not a fade or mark on it anywhere. IF you can track one down, chances are the owner has absolutely zero intent to sell. Of all my intimidators, this and the flame were easily the hardest to get. There were 12 made for the team Hellwood Paris with only four crossing the Atlantic. More bodies were allegedly made, but as of yet have never surfaced. This particular marker belonged to Sam G, a player and tech for Smart Parts/GI. The body is essentially a Naughty Dogs without the paw print. Regardless of their opinion of its styling, no one can deny that it's one of the rarest guns in the industry.

NorCal (1/12)

Based on the Ironmen body, these were made for the Mama's Boys based out of the Bay Area. Only 12 were made and far fewer remain complete. Of those, this is likely the most original and best condition example. Of the 12, only one of them originally ran dualies, and it wasn't this one, but I chose to run dualies because it looks badass and to pay homage to that particular marker. I have all of the correct pieces, (hpr, front block, trigger), should I ever want to restore it to 100% original. A particularly cool note about this NorCal, in particular, is that it is the only one to still have the team asa. The team asa was not factory sponsored. Basically each player got one asa and had it stamped with 'mamas boys' and put it on their team gun. From what I can tell, this is not only the only NorCal intimidator to be released into the wild with its correct asa, but it might be the only team marker from Mamas Boys of any sort to have the original asa, simply because players kept the asa's for their next gun. Most, if not all of these remain in the Bay area and IF they change hands, its locally. I lucked out getting one. I couldn't have restored this so well without my girl Nikki Samson, the guru for 2k2 electronics and my inside source for a lot of the team information. She took the picture for me while she had it. I'll give it a formal photo session soon enough.

Factory Prototype Ripper 1 (1/12?)

Traditionally there were thought to be 12 Prototypes, however recently storage units have opened and a few more have surfaced, suggesting that 12 is likely closer to 15. Regardless, these are exceedingly rare and valuable markers. Prototypes can be distinguished by either the dot behind the eye covers or the milling on the underside of the top tube by the barrel. Mint condition with a few tasteful upgrades here and there. This prototype body is unique in that the dot usually behind the eye covers is up closer to the feedneck. It's also an incredible factory tri-fade.

Prototype Ironmen (1/10)
Project waiting on a worthy ano idea.

Prototype Species (1/1)

Verified as the only species prototype to escape the factory. There are 3 distinguishing features for a prototype: The body itself is about 0.25" longer than the production body (you can see the body overhand the full-sized empire frame in the rear), there are differences in the skeleton versus the normal body (such as the width of the gap between the "spine" and "pelvis" sections, where those two things would be touching on a standard body), and the top is slotted so the bolt can be pulled straight out of the back. The polished gold skeleton (hand-masked) and stone background ano was done by Tyler at Aesthetic Anodizing. It also has a custom carbon fiber species trigger done by Brock Averill. It also has the other standard high end upgrades like an eigenram, sci-fi board etc. This can be found for sale on the BL facebook groups.

"Tucan" Ironmen

It's a show-stopper. In a word, this build is elegant, and easily one of my favorites in the collection. Completely rebuilt my old primary. I always loved the ironmen body style because it looks like someone put a lot of time, passion and effort into it's creation. Caustic nicknamed it the Tucan.

Russian Legion

This one has by far the most sentimental value. The first high end I ever got was a Russian Legion in this color scheme (thanks Mom). There were so many memories associated with that gun, but I eventually sold it when I got out of paintball a the first time, years ago. When this one popped up (it's brand new, never even aired up) it wasn't even a question, I needed it. This one will be with me forever.

Prototypes can be distinguished by their pointy tips. Team guns at the time had tips bent down per Bob's recommendation to avoid scratching the players. You can see an example of that on this one. Potential future project.

I honestly didn't know there was another one out there... Yours needs more Lasoya parts on it.

The shocktech aliases came with shocktech frames which were really just empire frames with those holes in them. They came with frame spacers, the rear ones had the shocktech jewels in it.

Black/Orange Ripper 1 finished and added a picture with some brightness modifications to compensate for the ****ty lighting. Also added the Hustler SFT and sent the Waffle and Black Ironmen off to ano.
