Lv solenoid question

Hey guys quick question

Lv1,1.1,1.5

So I’ve heard which correct me if it’s wrong, that the lv solenoid goes bad in the gun when you don’t use your lv for a while
Is that true and if so, if I buy a new solenoid or two for my lv will that be the same case like it’s a ticking time bomb kinda or I’m just throwing away cash? I wanna know before I buy a new one for spare
I will appreciate the time you take 🙂

So, as strange as this sounds, this exact thing just happened to us. Great condition LV1, we haven't played for several months, and now the noid isn't working....As they are $165.00, it would be good to know whats going on with this thing...And now I need a noid, if anyone knows the best place to get one.

This is a tricky question. I believe PE recommends that you activate the solenoid a few times each month while you are storing your LV in between games. It seems that the solenoid (This also applies for the Geo 3.x series and Ego 11) can go bad after long times if inactivity.
While it is rare, it does happen. If the solenoid goes out the only thing you can do is replace it. Most retailers should still have these solenoids available and of course if you contact PE’s RI office they should be able to get one ordered for you or give you an idea where to get one.

The LV 1.6 was released because PE found a solenoid and SFR design that allows for user serviceable parts so this will not be ab issue moving forward.
