So stating "new G6R" sounds a little off.

I think you mean "new Intimidator." In that case, yes, it appears we'll see one eventually. I knew a little bit at one point (over a year ago), but have been out of the loop since then. I'm curious if the design at that time was the one chosen. If so, the gun will be very cool.

I just picked up a TX storm g6r yesterday, then I saw this news this morning. Go figure. But I'm not mad. I had an F5 that I kicked myself for selling years ago with all the upgrade parts that shot as smooth and quiet as any spool. Who knows when we'll see the new one. Maybe PB extravaganza? Should be interesting. I'm glad something new may be coming out, seems like these designs are being recycled too often. Time for PE to step up and make a new LV.

We are probably at least a year out from a production G7R. They tested the Force for over a year before it was released. I think we'll see some prototypes in the wild before anything official from F1.

I can imagine them buying the rights for Angel parents on 3 stack tube poppit and make the new intimidator that's compact like the Angel 1 platform.

I can imagine a gigantic rocket-propelled bio-mechanical hamster being used for air superiority over the battlefields of the future...and this is only slightly less likely than a return to the 3-tube design.

Doubt the 3 tube design would come back , the magnetic ram design would be a cool one to see again though.

I suspect, like the Force, it'll be overpriced and not really offer anything that's a substantial improvement over existing markers of a similar platform. The G6R and LV1.x are pretty damn good at what they do. My personal opinion is that any improvements aren't going to justify the cost outlay to get the new marker. That being said the new marker probably comes with a 3x5" glossy of the dynasty players for the fanboys to hang over their bed at night.

There's a few quality of life features that I wouldn't mind having, but it's not going to justify whatever price they're going to ask for one.

I would expect that they would re-use the body design and milling of the Force and maybe do a poppet based engine that is the same form factor as the Nucleus engine. The question is if they can, based on some of the discussion around them selling the patents to HK for the VCOM.

Overall the G6R platform, there's not really much to improve upon. It's small, thin, and reliable. It would only be some small things like moving from wires to a contact pad type of eye connection, and maybe a cheaper/serviceable solenoid. But overall there's little to improve.

Paintball guns have hit a peak. All the improvements these days are just small steps and little improvements. I imagine that most of the "improvements" these days are going to be in value engineering, where the markers become cheaper to manufacture.
