Now we just need MacDev to make it happen!
Do you think it's realistic to expect a second new marker in 2021 from MacDev (7th Gen Cyborg hopefully) as you alluded to previously?
I say this given the XDR preorder which allegedly are shipping in April, but we are in April and haven't heard an official word from MacDev since the promo video dropped. Frist teasers were back in I think November or December 2020? XDR seems like vaporware still which in my mind puts the Cyborg (if it happens) into 2022. Trying to decide if I should jump on the XDR preorder or wait for a C7. Heck I might just grab a used M3+ or XTS to hold me over.
More importantly, any chance a new Cyborg would have a mech frame option? That would truly be unique in the marketplace and potentially a big seller. I don't pretend to understand the inner workings of markers anywhere close to as much as you, but I would think the main issue to overcome would be setting the mechanical dwell to something that would function across a wide variety of conditions. Although that doesn't seem like that much of an issue (does anyone ever run anything but 10MS on the C6?).
In a hypothetical mechanical stacked tube poppet with a ram that opens the valve (vs a separate hammer like an autococker), would changing the LPR pressure change not only the ram/bolt speed but also the dwell? I don't understand enough to know or see where other problems with this train of thought might be.
