Thanks for all the info on here. I've just started playing again after about 10 years. I shot intimidators back then and this thread has been very valuable in deciding whether to buy another Bob Long gun.

Why have you been a BLAST/F1 hater and what made you start looking into a BLAST marker?

I think very highly of the G6r but I am not a stacked tube guy. They shoot well, and are very efficient and supper easy to maintain.
I have a couple of Onslaughts and several Victories. Between the two I would choose the Victory if you can find one with both the VIS and Vcom engines.
Even though it was first relaeased in 2009, the Victory Is still in my estimation one of the best markers available today. They are still in production by HK/F1 ... and HK is planning on another generation Marq in the future.

I was a Timmy hater because of the clamshell design, i had a teammate who bent / broke his A-bomb timmy trying to unscrew the HPA tank

Also the stacked-tube poppet design was freakin' huge, while the Matrix wasn't much better size wise it was a single tube design... then Proto put the LPR in the front and i ran with the PM7 for a while

As for poppets i started with the Angel LED myself before being introduced to an Ego 06 then went Eclipse fanboy, i still got an SL66, SL74 and ditched an SLS for the Victory and never looked back

In fact, i even traded an Angel A1 for a Closer and regretted letting go of the Closer, even tho i got a Bushwackers SL66 out of it...

Now i run three Bob Long v1 Victory, two of them are SC and one has VCOM

The SL is always the top of the line and the best paintball gun made, every year since it was first released. You get what you pay for and Bespoke parts are full of win."

I picked up an Insight that I sold a while back ... I have used her the last two weekends with a 45/45 and a gravity fed hopper ... i forgot how much I like the platform and the shot quality with the reflex engine is quite nice.

This is a poor pic, but she is beautiful in person.

Oooo that IS nice. The black out sets it off. Very cool... And i agree, i miss both of mine. Why they fell behind on resale and popularity is quite unfortunate. One of the best Iv ever shot.

Big Papa Pink,

Now that the price gaps are much much smaller, would you choose an Insight or Onslaught?

Are the ball flights of the two similar to a VIS? RSX seems to lob a bit.

I love and miss my VIS but I'm tired of tinkering with my pressure settings.

Between the Insight and the Onslaught, which shoots closest to the VIS?

Thanks for your time and all the great info you've posted on this thread.

I sent you a pm, but i’ll Answer here too.

I would pickup the Onslaught because of the upgraded reflex engine. While I love the shot quality of the original Insight engine, they still seem to be hit and miss for some. The Reflex engine fixed all the little concerns with the Insight engine and is rock solid reliable. I prefer the Insight’s milling though, so if you can find an Insight with the upgraded reflex enginethen that would also be an option. I believe Field 1 will still sell reflex engines for the Insight should you find a milling it Ano you really like.

I have an Onslaught, a Stock Insight and an Insight with a Reflex engine. I really like all three and all have been reliable for me in the past.

I'm pretty sure they all use the same OLED board. I've not heard of any mass problems with the OLED going out. Where have you heard this?

I agree, I have a couple of makrkers from 2013 with these oled boards and have never had one go out like some others ... I have not even heard of them going out. I have broken one because I was an idiot.

Added a short blurb about the HK Vcoms and T-Rex specifically.
