I think k it just means they got rid of the visible port on the body for the detent spring.

Fix the cocking point, make the pump stroke softer, and get rid of the horribly loud sound signature. Then they will have a very hard pump to beat.

Exactly!
Maybe tweak the milling a bit too as well and I'll gladly pay the projected MSRP.
Although I love the pump strong of the 1.

Apparently the detent is on the bottom of the body.

I sent an email to Field One asking about this last December and got this response back from Eric Crandall:
“Right now we're slammed building Force's, and haven't thought about the next project. The MVP 2 is mostly done and ready for production but there's no timeline for moving forward on that right now.”
Who knows where the MVP 2 is now on their radar thanks to COVID.

Cool. Maybe original MVP's will stop selling for $1K plus prices when these hit the market. Looks like a solid improvement over the original!

I seriously can't see Field One prioritising a pump when there's a lot more hunger for something like a mech.

The original MVP are like J12.
POS for actual use. People prize them because they are rare

They had Eric Crandall on Tyler and Marcello's podcast this weekend. He did say they were looking at an updated intimidator but didn't say anything about the MVP.

I was excited to see what they did for the invisible ball detent and if it would carry on to future platforms. Not that having traditional detents is a pain, just nice to see if they came up with something different than an eye pipe.

Yeah I did not remember seeing this post the first time and died a little inside when I got down to this comment...

The pump community would gobble this up.

I think we’ll see the new Timmy first then this will be released. It is a quick and easy win if it is ready to go. I’m not much of a pump player and I would pick one up for sure.

I would prefer the pump, but Timmy absolutely makes more sense. Especially since they could probably make a mech frame for it as well? Two birds and all.

I believe that's called a Spyder. Or Millenium. Or for us really old farts, PMI3/VM68.
