Spyder VS1

Got a VS1 for my son as a starter marker. I’m trying to see if there is a possible way to swap out the front VA block for one that will take a regulator. I’ve found a few TASO ones for sale but I don’t know if the VS1 body will take the old style VAs.
Anyone knows a way to do this please let me know.

Or I’m debating cutting the current expansion chamber and tapping it myself. But wondering if I might need to cannibalize an ASA to do it

There were specific VS series adaptors and replacement front blocks. You have to get your hands on one of those if you plan to use a regulator. The front blocks were made by Trinity, I can’t remember who made the adapter.

Also keep in mind the hoses are METRIC. You’ll either need to go with macro line with a standard threaded fitting at the reg and a metric fitting at the ASA or replace the ASA.

There’s not really anything special about the VS1 so simply adding a regulator is an exercise in futility without a VS2/3 valve.
