Our highway dept was shut down for 2 weeks because 1 guy tested positive, but was Asymptomatic...you know, back when we had tests to test anyone exposed...Now most of our **** is being rerouted to NYC, where they magically were able to come up with a test kit, to test a ****ing tiger.

The Governor is now using the State Police, and National Guard as his personal errand boys, sending them upstate, county by county, to seize ventilators, PPE, Masks, Sanitizing agents, and other Biohazard Isolation equipment, to use in NYC. Not just taking from County government, but local Emergency Management Offices, Fire Departments, and Police Departments. Stating "Oh, if Ventilators or other equipment are needed in Buffalo, I'll drive it there my self" BULL****.

Rerouting Isopropyl Alcohol, and other sanitizing agent Shipments being sent to Pharmaceutical companies, which are actively engaged in the Vaccine process, to NYC.

Local County's Sheriff's Deputies have supposedly all been Issued AR's and Plate armor in case they need to block the National Guard from absconding with our supplies. This is a ****show.

Day....whatever the **** it is of pandemic lockdown:

Target Sports USA has a shipping back log of Almost a month...when I spoke with them yesterday, they were just finishing the orders from March 24th...

A guy I bought an 20ga Remington 870 Barrel from through Gunbroker has told me that he is backlogged 2 weeks on shipping

Another individual I bought some turkey loads through is only 2 days back logged.

and a guy I bought a turkey vest from through Amazon marketplace isnt even responding to me...

My house is now completely smart, with Ring doorbells, Ring Alarm, Nest Thermostat, and Alexa integration...if I'm home much longer, ****s gonna start becoming even more automated...

We have the ring doorbells(front and back door) and enst thermostat. We have alexa, but not set up. If I had the $, I'd be working on turning everything "smart". But being out of work for almost 2 months.... Yeah, I'm broke

Must be nice to be able to afford "smart" devices lol. Wife has been out of work for a month so I'm trying to pay my $2,800/ mo in bills now with her $1,500+ only making $2-2.2k/ mo. All overtime has been shut down. Anyone who works over 8hrs will not be paid for it and has been told to clock out either before 8 or exactly at their 8hrs. I'm probably going to quit in the next week or two. Essential job or not, **** them.

Home owner of who we rent from called me 2 days ago saying since we didn't pay the rent in full, he can't pay his mortgage for the house he just bought last year in Texas. Not my problem you don't have a rainy day fund bud.

I only buy the smart devices when on sale. Got both rings on prime day last year, and then the nest I got "used".(1/3 the price. Only ever wired up once, and they realized their wiring wasn't comaptable

Same. I got 2 Ring Pro doorbells for the price of 1.

Smart bulbs are fairly cheap, and I have 1 Echo Dot, and 3 flexes...the flexes are like $25 each

My buddy is wanting to get the antibody test to see if he had it. They refused to test him, but his flu test came back negative. He was sick for 3 weeks.

My work is still getting ravaged with it. My assistant manager now came back positive, one of our assistant store managers just came back positive, another assistant store manager is on quarantine for symptoms.
I also had another associate go get tested yesterday, and are waiting for his results. So far, my department alone has had 3 confirmed cases, 2 symptomatic associates, and 1 more who's waiting for his test right now.
I have no clue how the other departments in the store are. Going to have to figure something out though. I'm suppose to go back in 2 weekss

If I get laid off, I am ****ed, with a Capital F.

Insulin is $800/vial, and I go through 4 a month.

Union is contemplating a lawsuit against the Municipality if Layoffs do happen.

Back to work on Wednesday. Looks like all this played out perfectly for my. Cases are starting to slow down around me, people are beyond the hoarding/stockpiling stage and business is definitely slowing down.
After over 2 months off, it'll be interesting to go back. I kinda lucked out with this pandemic happening. It really let me spend alot of time with the boys, and watch them grow like crazy, and start to develop personalities.

Since you guys are gun guys... Question. Need a recommendation on a gun to keep at the house "just in case", but also fun to use on targets. Is it worth going with a handgun, shotgun, rifle?

if you want a "just in case" gun for your home, then it's a shotgun that you want. get a 20 gauge. easy to shoot, easy kick, easy to hit a target, especially if your adrenaline's going.


if it's your first gun, i recommend taking a class, getting a gun lock, separating ammo, etc... they'll go over all the safety stuff in the class. also, i'd make sure everyone in the house goes to the class and gets comfortable around guns and knows to treat them with respect.

9mm handgun would be my pick. Easy to use and your don't have the issue with having a long gun in close quarters.

I've grown up with guns and shooting guns, but haven't gotten my own since I had no need. But now that I got my own house, I want to get something as a "just in case".
Not only for that though. I have a friend with a farm and lots of land to shoot on, so I'd like something that is also fun to take out and shoot

My next "fun" gun will be a long slide 10mm. Mainly for the mountains for the one in a million chance we get charged by wildlife. I have a G30 which is actually the first firearm I ever purchased and I'll never part ways with it. .22's are always fun and super cheap to shoot. Not sure if that'd want like a M&P 15-22(I have one). Super light, decent build quality. I've put over 1k rounds through mine with no issues. I wouldn't use a .22 in a self defense situation even though it will just ricochet off bones and tear up vital organs.

I don't think I'd go for a 22 since my old man has a 22 pistol and rifle that I can take any time. If I go pistol, I'd probably end up with a 9mm so it's something my wife could also shoot comfortably.
My old man is trying to convince me into getting an AR but Idk if it's worth getting one for home defense, and alot of ranges don't allow rifles around here.
