I agree entirely.
50 cal has objectively inferior flight characteristics.
But at 300 fps it also hurts a darn sight less, and it flies plenty far enough for most paintball engagements. At normal engagement ranges it'll perform just as well or very nearly. Especially seeing as most fields run closer to 240 fps for rental 68s. A 300fps 50 will do just as well.
I'd like to see more PB companies and fields committing to 50 cal, even going 100% 50 cal for rental groups. It can only be good for the sport. The emek looks very good, but as some have said the frame and weight will still be in 68 cal range. Smaller, lighter 50 cal only markers with slightly smaller frames to accommodate smaller hands (but still ok for us oldies) would be a very good thing.
