Whatever gets you stoked and out there on the mountain. Everything else is just petty squabbling.

That being said, urchins>skies for life, ride or die.

Going to get a job at a resort out in ski country, looking mostly to Colorado right now. Suggestions on favorite resorts? Anybody work for Vail?

Meh, I think the babe snowboard instructor liked me, the ski instructor had something stuck up his ***. That is why I know how to snowboard so much more than skiing.

The cost of living out there is far above the wages they pay, unless you work for corporate. I looked into both that and Park City and both were crazy. You'd have to work 2 jobs in order to make some spending money

Look into smaller resorts that cater to richer crowds in the Idaho/tetons/Montana region

I will be relearning to ski after 2 decades plus of boarding this season :/
The wife, despite years of lessons, still sucks majorly at boarding and doesn't want to learn alone

I almost prefer the resorts in Idaho and Montana compared to Colorado and Utah. The staff and locals seem friendlier and there's less arrogance compared to some of the big resorts (Colorado in particular).

I've been out west last 5 years, power rankings:

1. Big Sky MT (unbelievable powder, tons of bowls + lone peak)
2. Telluride (cool town, good powder)
3. Tahoe (if cold enough, but excellent nightlife + other things to do)
4. Park City/Canyons (massive since they added the connector cable, can't ski it all in a week)
5. Vail/Beaver Creek (good but vail can get crowded + expensive. Very long runs and good bowls on the back side though)

Want to get to Taos and Whistler sometime, plus haven't been to Vermont despite it being drivable.

big sky is one of my favorite resorts

Tahoe really depends on where you go.

vail and PC are always way to crowded.
