Tank Paintball Chair Chronicles - overcoming adversity to play paintball - VIDEO
My name is Chris Alnazer. I was born with Cerebral Palsy. Besides my family, paintball is everything to me. I am able to walk but I walk very slowly. When I’m in public I use a wheelchair to get around to speed things up. When I play paintball I crawl on my knees.

I first discovered paintball by going to K-Mart with my parents and convincing them to buy me a Brass Eagle pump marker for my 10th birthday. At the time I thought paintball markers were just used to shoot trees and burn barrels for fun. I was bored one day so I watched the VHS tape that was included with the marker that went over the safety rules for paintball and talked about the sport. I remember seeing the guys running through the woods sliding around shooting at each other and thinking to myself “dang that looks so fun but I’d never be able to do that because I can’t run”. I continued shooting trees and burn barrels for fun until I asked my parents for a marker with a little more fire power for my 14th birthday. They surprised me with a green Spyder Imagine. I thought I was the stuff! After playing Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball and hearing the kids at school talk about how much fun paintball is I decided to have my birthday party at Boss Paintball field (it was called Gold Diggers Paintball at the time). We went to play not knowing how far in the woods you would have to walk and my wheelchair wouldn’t work on the rough terrain of the woods so the refs working that day offered to piggyback me. I had the time of my life that day and was instantly hooked. After playing in the woods for about a year I started getting interested in speedball and the tournament side of paintball. The local team Boss Factory took me under their wing and showed me the ropes. I played my first event in 2006 and I’m still playing now.
I created my YouTube channel to help grow paintball in general but also give the people who don’t think they are able to play the sport motivation to get out there and play.
NEVER doubt yourself. If you want something, go get it. Please subscribe to my Youtube Channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1g...mFOsnW9NCl9NNY

What a stud! It is humbling to see someone do whatever it takes to play the game. Frankly it reminds me to not take things for granted, but also to not make excuses and do something extraordinary no matter the circumstances.

Chris is one of my favorite people in the world! I have had to pleasure of knowing him for more than 10 years. In that time I don't have a single bad thing to say about him. I'm lucky enough to have one of his jersey's hanging on my wall.

As someone who has enjoyed 32 years in this sport as an "able but broken down bodied" person, let me say you are an inspiration. My pain and inconveniences are going to make me think of you as a reminder of what we can push through to enjoy this sport. I truly hope you podium at every event.

I first played at Gold Diggers as well when I lived in NC! Probably back in like 2003/2004, loved that place and hope to get back there to visit one day soon! (I also met Matt Sossoman there, great guy) Much respect and I wish you the best!

That's awesome! 2003/2004 was before my time. I think my first time going to boss was in 2005. The field is still poppin to this day! Boss is my absolute favorite field to play woodsball at! The owners and refs are awesome! They even give out free popsicles to the players during the summer!
and I 100% agree Matt Sossoman is a great guy!
Hope to see you at Boss one day!

Paintball News Rules |
- No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
- Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
- If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
- Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
