I agree. Well it looks like October is almost over so it should be comming out in the next 2 or 3 weeks at the latest. I would think that Powerlyte would have some sort of a release date for them since its getting clost to their deadline.

Believe me, that wasn't intended as a shot at Powerlyte. I absolutely love my Scepter kit, and have had nothing but great experiences with Powerlyte's customer service. Cheaper production cost is just the only advantage of shorter backs that I can think of.

Finally received an email reply. FYI.

Unfortunately we had to push the release date back two weeks due to a delivery delay with our new case. We anticipate having them in stock and ready to sell just before Thanksgiving. The release will coincide with the launch of our new website and the "sneak peak" at some of our new products coming for 07.

I was pretty upset when I heard that the '07 kits were going to have shorter backs [I've been waiting for months to get one of these babies, and wanted the best one available], but I was lucky enough to find somebody in the BST section selling exactly the kit I was after.
I saw a few more while I was there...

In your guys' opinion, are these barrel kits much better than the freak kit? I am stuck in between these. I know the Powerlyte is cheaper, but i havent tried one yet. Thanks for any input.

The worst thing I've ever heard somebody say about a scepter is that it's kinda loud, while people are always complaining about the o-rings in freak kits, and the inserts coming loose, and **** like that.

My Scepter is slightly louder than my stock Matchstik but it doesn't bother me.

Does anyone know if the tips are going to be differently threaded than the older style tips? Because I'd like to keep my older style kit, but I might want a new tip for it, and if it were going to be the same thread, then all I'd have to do is order a 12" '07 kit tip to make a 14" tip for my "'05 kit".

I'm thinking that they've redone everything, but I guess I've got to be optimistic about something.

I just got another email from them and they say its going to be another few weeks due to the case pushing things back. They said to keep checking the site for updates

Well its been a week, and the site still has nothing. Hell it still says that they are comming in Oct. I realy wish they kept us better informed.

I wish they would too. Atleast take down the broken site that has nothing really to offer and replace it with a "New format on XXXX"
