Class A --- Nationals Enrollment Verification

Edit:

THIS POST IS FROM 2007!

It is now 2011. It would be pretty foolish to think the information in this post is current.

End edit.

As many of you know Nationals is now just around the corner! With this wonderful time of year, also comes the necessary pain of enrollment verification.

In order to enter the field of competition a player must be a full-time student at the University (this means the school or campuses must have the same admission process). The primary exception for this is graduating seniors that do not need the full-time credit load to meet their graduation requirements.

I have checked, and I believe all of the Class A Universities offer Enrollment Verification services (albeit they are occasionally under different names). In order for the document to be sufficient it must be official, and unopened; it must show the number of credits you are taking, your current status (as of March 1st), and all other standard information needed for this type of verification.

You should request two Enrollment Verifications per player, one to be mailed to me at the address below, and one to be brought to the competition. I am going to suggest that all of the teams have their prospective registrars mail all of the verifications to the team captains and then the team captain compile all of the team envelopes in a single envelope that may be assigned a tracking #. I will require all of the necessary paperwork by Wed, April 18th (Overnight it if you must), failure to provide the necessary paperwork will result in potential fines (or worse, the ineligibility of some players).

The verification will be referenced to the Roster listed on APPA’s website, please ensure they match to avoid any discrepancies at the event. Please be aware that all players that are on the APPA roster (and are checking in) will be required to sign a release authorizing the NCPA to contact your respective universities to confirm any information that relates to players eligibility.

Please mail all appropriate documentation to:
NCPA Regulations Supervisor
28J Queen Mary Court
Chester, MD 21619

Mail all questions to JoshNCPA@gmail.com because I broke my 'official' e-mail account.

Thanks!

I just want to confirm but this only applies to Class A teams and doesn NOT apply to class AA teams?

For Class AA, bring something with your name and birth date and your student ID.

We will be doing this again this year. Same procedure, address may be slightly different.

Alright guys, Nationals is coming! With nationals comes the need for the NCPA's enrollment verification proccess to take place yet again.

The process is the same as last year, each team that wishes to compete in Class A will need to have their entire team verified before they are permitted to walk onto the field. Any player that does not have their verification information in to us, will NOT be permitted on the field.

Each team captain should have his/her players request an enrollment verification form from their Bursers office (Or admissions office, whichever your school uses).

These MUST be submitted to:
NCPA Regulations Supervisor
28J Queen Mary Court
Chester, MD 21619

Shipping method prefered being UPS or Fedex without Signiture required.
These MUST MUST MUST arrive no later then April 11th, 2008 by 5pm.

Please contact me directly at Phoenixhawk101@gmail.com or RMO131@gmail.com if you have any questions.

All players need to bring some form of Photo ID to the field for registration.

Forgive me if I'm being dim here. I just want to make sure: If I'm playing with an AA (lesser) team then I don't need to be full time student (I'm only taking a 3 credit class to graduate) and I don't need to do the verification process? Just show up with a student card, drivers license etc?

You must be a full-time student to play in ANY division.

At Nationals, the Class A teams have to go through extra-special enrollment verification. That reflects both the higher organization of the teams and the stakes (we want to be absolutely sure we don't televise ineligible players - that could cause problems we can't solve with disqualification).

It sounds like he is a senior with only the 3 credit class to graduate. in that case he gets an exemption.
