Started my paintball career here. Been playing here for years and worked here. Played at plenty of other fields and I've still never been anywhere with a more friendly, fun, and overall perfect paintball environment. There are plenty of experienced players that make it out to jungle rumbles and big games but where Splat Tag shines is in its ability to not only attract but properly accommodate new players and give them the best introduction into the sport possible.

Splat Tag, Inc.I've made it out here a few times now, for the giant big games and some private matches, and it is a good place with very fun courses , but the FPO is expensive.

Splat Tag is my favorite field in the WI, MN, IA, SD, and ND area. HUGE field, over 250 playable acres. They offer a two-story Castle, seven forts, a railroad tie field with a two-story Fort, four towers, a crashed airplane and an urban field among others.
Owner is great and very involved. Their Spring and Fall Giant Big Games are the largest in the upper Midwest, drawing as many as 850 players!
Full rental options for any first time players, open play on Saturdays and big games (125+ players) every last Sunday of the month.
The refs do a fantastic job with private groups, catering to them and creating the environment they desire.
If it's the last Sunday of the month or a Giant Big Game, I'll see you there.

Customer Service - Darrin is an awesome guy who will often actually play with the players (although he may cheat sometimes ).
Quality of Fields - Bunkers and equipment is very well maintained as well as paths. There IS poison ivy on most fields so be on the lookout when you are playing not to lay in a nice patch. There are also at times horrible mosquito problems which can be avoided with bug spray and appropriate clothing.
Fun / Experience - There usually think of some different game types instead of just team slayer which makes it more fun. A few common players are hot heats and I tend to avoid them when possible but this isn't new to just this field. Also during games that have over 100 players wait times can be fairly long in between games (15-30minutes). I've found the best day to go is on Wednesday.
Value - The best field that I've ever been to. However for some reason they switched from BYOP to FPO this year which sucks but that seems to be the going thing anyways.

This is my home field. I have been playing here for almost 10 years. It has gone through A LOT of changes throughout the years, all for the better. Darrin is constantly changing the field layout. While the courses themselves are the same, he adds new bunkers, improves existing bunkers, and makes the overall feel of the game change.
There's big games every last Sunday of the month (Jungle Rumble), where the level of players come out is much higher than your typical walk on day. With two giant games (GBG) every year. Darrin also holds a few big games throughout the year as well.
I only gave this field one con, which was the driveway. While it has gotten MUCH better over the years, it can still be a little tricky for those of use with low sitting cars. If you drive slow, and keep your eyes open, it's not a problem.
