For years the Etek has been the go-to marker for those looking for the ultimate in performance, value and rugged reliability in the mid-range market place. Its stacked-tube poppet valve construction has proven time and again to be the benchmark by which others in this area are judged. However, at Planet Eclipse we appreciate that not everyone likes the feel or the external moving components of a stacked-tube poppet valve marker. Some players have a clear preference for the simple lines and enclosed bolt system of the single-tube, spool valve platform. It is for these players that the all new Eclipse Gtek was created. A mid-range Eclipse marker with all the value, reliability and efficiency of the Etek line but with the smooth shooting and quiet sound signature that you’ve come to expect from a modern single-tube spool valve marker. Pull up on the quick release back cap and within its compact, lightweight and low-profile body the Gtek’s all-new and completely unique Gamma Core drivetrain can be found. This new system has been designed and developed to pull off the perfect trifecta of supreme all-weather reliability with optimal shooting enjoyment and exceptional efficiency.

Shot quality was amazing and smoothness was all there. honestly the best bang for the buck out there now ! it shoots just as good as my geo 3.5

Wow, all I have to say is this gum shoots amazing. I love how little kick this thing has. People compare this gun to the geos. And rightfully so, this gun shoots lasers and is super quiet in the process. And of course it has planer eclipse backing the reliability so you don't need a backup gun. And for 550, it's literally a steal.

I'm in love with the gamma core as a scenario engine.
I almost always have a GTEK in my bag as the backup/efficient gun.

The new 160R almost replaced my CS1 as my main shooter.

Give this gun and drivetrain a solid look if you ever have trouble getting full air fills and not an extremely efficient drivetrain to sling a whole bunch of paint.

PE Gtek160r is the best, most reliable gun I've ever owned. Out of the box ready to go, consistent on the chrono, quiet shot signature, air efficient, and an absolutely incredible drive train that will work in most any circumstances. I bought mine brand new for about 100 off of retail. I'm telling you, I've owned multiple DMs and shot a DlX luxe for a while...I choose this GTek every time.

Pros: Reliable, consistent, relatively cheap
Cons: no finger area behind trigger
I really enjoy this marker. It has been very reliable for me with no maintenance done for 16,000 shots. I have broken maybe 3 balls in it in all this time. It is very consistent over the chrono with a good paint to barrel match. Plus/minus 5fps is the norm. My only gripe is the grip. There is no finger area behind the trigger like the Etek5 and I found the grip a little short. I had someone machine a 1/2" spacer that goes between the grip and the OOPS. This gave me the room I needed for my wrist so all is well.

Pros: Reliable, Efficient, Accurate, Easy to Maintain
Cons: Thick Grip
Bought this marker back in February to replace my PE Etha. This marker has been phenominal!

I have played with it all season and practiced with it about once a week and have not had a single issue. I believe it is intuitively designed as I have never had to open the manual to see how to pull it apart or put it back together. I do not always have the most time on my hands so cleaning my marker sometimes get put off. I have gone for 2 months with out cleaning my marker and it preforms every time.

It is incredibly soft on paint. I have played in sub 40 degree (F) using Empire Evil while everyone else was breaking paint I never had a single ball break. I have shot 41,000 shots through it and yesterday I had my first ball break.

I highly recommend installing the OLED board it makes changing setting much easier and it really is quite easy to install.

The only gripe I have with this marker is how thick the grips are; I have small hand but this is the absolutely only reason I would consider purchasing a new marker (I would keep my gtek as a back up).

If you are considering a new marker I would highly recommend purchasing this marker.

I just got the M170R as a rainy day/mech only event marker and although I have only test shot it so far I have to say I'm impressed. The trigger is very responsive for a mech trigger and can shoot fast no problem. It virtually has no kick to it whatsoever. I look forward to using this on the field when it rains or at the next mech only event/tourney.
