Pros: Durable, never gave me problems
Cons: HEAVY , Loud, and a foot ball on the side
I bought it to replace my Spyder Victor. The first day of play I slid in behind a bunker right into a huge puddle. I was soaked, the gun was soaked, my lens had water all over it. But it kept shooting and I never had a problem with it. It was light when you fist started playing but then as the day goes on it got heavier and heavier. The stock barrel made it obnoxiously loud so I got a different barrel. The cyclone feed system works like a charm but it's huge. My hopper got shot more than I did because of the size of it, and it was on the side so that was the first thing everyone saw. It was a good gun though. It was fairly accurate and plenty of cool things you can do with them.

Pros: Kick ***
Cons: not so good in the winter
I have used every singe Tippman gun from the Pro-Lite to the X-7, and being part of a professional scenario paintball team... nothing compares to my A-5. I have literally done EVERYTHING that you could possible do to the gun other than a e-grip... but those deminish the reliability of an A-5 and so does an RT, but that is a risk some people choose to take... not me though. But I also have made my own parts for the A-5 to make it better like a re designed left shell with 2 hard foam strips to reduce the shatter effect that the paintball gets from the cyclone system. And there are other ones but I dont like to give out my secrets... sorry. But for using the gun from stock to the nicest A-5 out there... it has never failed me and for that I give it a 10 start. Great job Tippmann!

For the money this is a great marker, I have been using this marker for a a while now and am very satisfied. I can hand it off to my fiance and she can do great with it as well. In the right hands it is a monster for woodsball. I have not done any serious modifications to the marker and have taken down several high end electric markers. There is more to the game than the marker, the user makes the biggest difference. I highly recommend the flatline barrel as well as the cyclone feeder upgrades from TechT.

great gun espically for woodsball, you just need to be careful with the cyclone as it can turn into a blender on lower quality paint. the tube that feeds air into the cyclone also needs to be quality also. on my friend's A5, he ended up losing it and couldn't use his A5 until he got a new one.

all in all, i'd get this gun, great solid shooter for the price

Tippmann Sports A-5 This is a very reliable gun with alot of upgrades. Why not pay the 10 dollars extra an get a A5 instead of the 98? It works wonders for woods ball and scenario games. This is a great beginner marker!

Pros: Finish, Function
Cons: Bulkyness
Love this marker, has worked everytime I've gone out, and never failed. I've had it for 6ish years, and had one break, unfortunately in the breach.

Pros:
- The finish is incredible. Clean lines, no casting marks, the coating is durable and cleans up well.
- Ergonomics are perfect. The grip feels just the way I like it, and my hands never get sore, or tired.
- Reliability. It's never failed.
- Serviceability. So easy. I was able to strip, clean, and reassemble in about 10 minutes the last time I did.
- Massive amount of customization. You can make this thing whatever you want it to be!
- Availability of upgraded aftermarket internal parts

Cons:
- Cyclone. A bit bulky, and kind of goofy looking, but it does work.
- Air usage compared to other markers I've used. Mostly because of the Cyclone I imagine.

All in all, classic Tippmann. A workhorse. There's a reason the rental fields have a fleet of these things.

I have the digital camo version, and am super impressed with how well it stands up to use. Definitely recommend it.

This gun was the first one I ever owned and I still use it to this day from time to time when the weather is colder because I know this gun will never fail me. Tippmann guns are known for their reliability and this gun is no exception. I do feel like there are better guns out there in terms of accuracy, efficiency and fire rate but with how reliable this gun is makes it worth every penny you spend on it and is perfect for new users who arent that farmiliar with maintaining paintball guns yet.
