Our new straight-bore carbon fiber barrel. The best value in barrels that money can buy! The Deadlywind Null carbon fiber barrels are ultra-lightweight, accurate, and quiet. They are a straight-bore design with a 0.688" inside bore. Weighing in at an average 50 grams for a 14" (45 grams for a 12"), the Null is not only the lightest barrel ever, but is also strong enough to be driven over with a car (Yes, we have done it-- and filmed it do that you don't have to try it!) Unlike other carbon fiber barrels, the Null barrel is built with a unique 3 layer construction. 2x2 satin Twill external, uni-direction fibers laid up in a strong multi-vector pattern, and then a super-slick "Silkfiber" inside that can be safely swabbed. Every component of the Null is 100% USA made, including our proprietary CNC-porting and assembly process. Every barrel is even hand-checked for QC-- You can't get any more accurate.

Pros: Light Weight, Looks
Cons: Thin,
Bought this barrel after much research, has lived up to my expectations. I like the light weight but durable barrel, though it has changed the way i have to mount a camera since i am afraid the nut attachment holding the camera may crack the barrel. Performance is noticeable over my stock barrel and cleaning seems a bit easier. I recently picked up a APEX2 adapter and APEX2 for the null barrel but it didn't have the insert required since the barrel is thinner then most barrels. I called customer service and spoke with them. Very professional customer service and got my insert shipped out directly, tested the other day and it performs very well, looking forward to really testing it at I.O.N. this year. Great product and the customer service to back it up.

Pros: Looks, performance
Cons: Single Bore
I've owned both the newest version of the Deadlywind Fibur barrel (the one with the swappable threaded backs) as well as the Fibur null. When I had to side by side it's impossible to tell them apart, the fit and finish on the null is exactly that of the fibur-x. The barrel is EXTREMELY lightweight and if looks could kill, you'd be headed for the gallows. I absolutely love my null. The only "con" to this barrel is that it is a single straightbore .688 size, which isn't really a con per se so much as that it just doesn't have the versatility that the fibur-x has with removable freak inserts. Maybe (hopefully) deadlywind will over the null in a variety of sizes. Don't hesitate in picking one of these up. They are as high quality a barrel as their more expensive fibur-x and their performance is outstanding.

Recently Purchased Deadly Wind Null CF (already have the Freak Inserts .679,.684,.689,.693) here are my thoughts

Shipping- Came carefully packed and wrapped with everything securely cushioned.

Unwrapping- My first thought was, S**t , that is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. Im a huge fan of matte/dust type finishes. No blemishes either external or internally of the barrel.

Usage: Had Multiple scenario's i could use, they are listed below

Invert Mini- Stock Bolt, Stock Settings, Valken Balls--- Much more accurate than the stock barrel (derp), noise reduction was small/moderate.

Invert Mini- XSV Boss Bolt, 3.75ms dwell, 140psi, Medium Spring- Amazingly accurate, sound signature dropped immensly, now more of a "pppftt" than a "POP" as i moved the freak inserts to a tighter match, it shot even more accurately and less noise.

Empire Axe, basically the same as the Invert, but the Axe factory barrel was a little more accurate than the Mini's, but the DW still out shot it.

A5- etrigger, Rufus Bolt, Autococker Barrel Insert, CP barel
Its a A5 so its as loud as a mother in law, accuracy was decent with CP

Swapped out to the DW and it was a marked improvement in accuracy
and the sound signature also was improved. Everyone within 100 feet
still knew you were rocking a A5, but it wasnt boeing 747 loud.

Ball Breaks- Went thru a combined 1800-2000 Valkens Echo and Graffiti
that were semi fresh-NO Breaks
Also used some smithsonian eligible RPS and NO breaks

Pro- Professionally Made, Well Designed, Works AAAA+ as described
Incredibly Light, well ported, and Swabble (sp)

Con- Like anything else really good in PB, Price. But i measure the expense
of having to shoot 20 paintballs with a average barrel to make a clean
hit to using a accurate barrel and only using 3-4 paintballs a nice
incentive.
Im very pleased i purchased this and since it can use it on my 3 favorite markers and have the freak inserts it was to good to pass up
