They are bulkier than other pods, they cost more, and they aren't easier to use than other pods.
Just like any other pod they will break with use.
Just go buy a bunch of cheap pods, they open easier and save you money

Pros: Durable, Holds more paint, Lock Lids
Cons: Expensive
I paid 36 bucks for 6 pods. They do hold more paint but they are a little longer. If you use these on pod harness's with elastic bands the pods become missiles when reloading. They are not drop-proof, the lids come open easily which i like about them. I do still think that these are the best pods made yet. Dye products are superior. Also use the Dye C9 Attack Pack Pro Harness. Love them both at the time. Finally if you just want a strong tube with tight fitting flip top lid get the Empire Camo Pods 2 bucks each.

Dye Precision Lock Lid Pod Ive used the dye locklids a few times. Honestly probably the worst thing dye makes. Theyre hard to pull from the pack. Sometimes its hard to find the lever to open them mid game. Kinda overpriced....

Pros: Easy to Open/Close, Nice Design/Grip
Cons: Gimmicky, Expensive
I've only used these once so far once but I think they are better than any of the other handful of pods I have used. I have two different colors from two different places, meaning two different sets and each set performs the same. I prefer and think the Locklids design is one of my favorite Why?:

They are very easy to open and close.

A flick of the tab and the cap easily opens unlike other pods where you might have to pry open depending on the pod, sometimes using two hands (one hand holding the body and the other opening the lid. With the Locklids they pop open using the thumb. I can open the lid with just the thumb. If you have pods with tight lids you don't want to fumbling around trying to pop a lid open that is too tight or stuck.

Closing them is easy, also I haven't had issues closing the lids and they lock decently. While yes some of my other pods I have had a problem getting a tight closure.

I'm not saying Locklids are some drastic innovation but I do like it improves on the everyday pods. At least Dye put some ideas into the design.

But they are expensive. Like x3 more so than regular pods. But I guess you pay more for the brand and nicer design. We will see how these hold up to come in future usage, right now I have only used them once.

Pros: Holds good amount of paint
Cons: Fragile Lid
At first glance i thought this was the greatest thing ever. Upon further use i realized a few things that i didn't like about the lock lids. One, sometimes i had a hard time fitting the lock lids into a harness, depending on which one i was using. Two, the lids were super fragile and i broke a few of them. Three, after about a month or two of use the locking mechanism wore down and when i tried to pull the lock lids from my harness' the lock lids would open up and i would drop paint everywhere. For the money they just aren't worth it. I'd rather use regular valken or empire pods that are inexpensive and not have to worry.

I have been using Dye Lock Lids for quite some time now and I have found out a few major things. People who buy them and drop them on the ground after a reload are happy with them. People who throw them to the ground are not happy with them.

Yes folks, plastic breaks when you throw it on the ground. I have only had 2 break in my entire time using them and one was my fault, and one got shot when I got bunkered. I have got shot in the pod many times from a normal distance and the paint inside doesn't even break. They hold their own if you take care of them.

The absolute worst part of having Lock Lids is that people always try to jack them off the field and steal them. Painting a band around the pod helps tremendously. "You taking my pods? What's that lime band around that pod there?"

I love them and I see a lot of reviewers that don't like them. To each his own, but I love them.

PS they also come in a six pack, its the beer of the paintball store

Pros: larger than 140 pods
Cons: sometimes the collar comes off
I really liked these pods but they do have some strengths and weaknesses like every other product.

First off I like the larger capacity that these pods had which gave anyone using them a slight advantage, but due to the larger size of the pod some packs didnt work as great with them at first. This was mostly due to the ribbing on the pod. They definitely never really fell apart until seasons later when the collars started to come off but that was doe to the glue failing after seasons of use. some superglue remedied this problem...

Overall, if you are looking for some nice pods that are different than all the other pods on the field and are planning to have these exact pods for a while then yes get them otherwise just pick up some random 140 size pods...
