Umm, you meen why does the shocker look like a epic, or a mag...the epic and Mags look alike because there single tubed. They came first then the new shocker came. So it's, why does the shock look like a epic?
Also, I do not think they share ANY sililarities besides that they are both single tubed guns.....BTW the epic does not have a tube on the inside really.

What efficiency does it get?

(door goes back after shot, and then back forward)
and heres just a pic of the size of the trap door, its dark but gets the job done.

This information has actually been verified. AGD discovered it in the animal Testing process of level 10 research. The way they did it was pretty cool, I belive they used gold fish and a high speed breach mounted camera. There is a reason level 10 has a foamie tip and a radiused/ rounded bolt tip.

I'm not quite understanding the negative argument of how loud it is. Which video actually has an epic shooting? If all of them have an epic it sounds the same as an autococker.

Videos are hard to disern. but from what they say, it sound "normal" but with a high pitch sound. Kind of like a ping ping sound but not louder then any other normal gun.

Spartans sounds right. It is a little on the loud side. Sounds kind of like a stock mag.

I just watched a decent video of the epic, and its not nearly as loud as my Spyder. But here's a question or two for all you Epic owners out there; how consistent is the marker on the chrono, and are you using CO2 or nitrogen? When the pressure drops in the regulator, possibly from firing CO2 very fast, does your fps vary a lot? This question kind of inspired a cool idea of mine for the regulator to have a chamber where some excess air is pressurized, and can be released back into the air flow in case the pressure drops.

p8ntball72 said that at a high rof he was getting a 5 flux, which for the price of this gun with a stock reg is about average. One of the flaws of the epic is you can't use a aftermarket reg unless it's a tank mounted reg...which you could do (adjustable tank, with stock reg turned almost all the way up.)

The best place to go for schematics is the us patent office website at http://patft.uspto.gov/netahtml/srchnum.htm
type in # 6520171 in the query box then click on search. You can see the whole patent on the Epic, to see the patent complete with the schematic drawings, after you get your search result click the red "images" link at the top of the page in the middle. You will need, or will have to download alternetiff off the help link to be able to view the images though. |
