Some1 tell me a good barrel to get!
hey dudes!
Im looking for a barrel upgrade for my Piranha Pro G3. I'm thinking about the DYE boomstick for the gun. Can anyone tell me what's the best barrel to upgrade to and whats the best price you can get it for.
Giving me the URL for your recomendation or the DYE boomstick on the best price would be nice.
You can sell me one if I agree to have a barrel you have.
If you wanna sell, contact at HMFunk2000@aol.com
thanks!

check paintballgear.com for pricesm, they are usually pretty good in that area. i don't know what threads a pahranna takes, so tell me that and i might be able to help you better. If you think you might upgrade later on to a better gun, then get a freak, like i have, they shoot the best at any time with any paint.

boomers are great barrels but not worth the money.. you can find just a good barrels for alot less.. the freak is a great setup since you can match different bores of paint.. however if you are going to only be shooting one brand then its kinda a mute point. my barrel reccomendations would be (bore size matched to paint of course) low cost: CP, mid range: BOA, high end: freak.

I would go with a 14" or 12" CP or a 13" Armson...

i have an amrson stealth on my g2 sts, its a great barrel. one thing to remember is ask yourself what kind of paint do i shoot all the time. the armson is not forgiving on paint size i have found. i shot marbs or pmi premium all the time anything less is a broken ball. the barrel is not that hard to clean as some say. 2 pulls with my flex-squeegie and i was ready to play again. the only time i broke a ball was with the econo paint. have shot a case of marbs and a case of pmi and not had a problem yet. the place i ordered mine sent the 16" rather than the 13". its a nice barrel but very long i would go with the 13 and pick it up from paintball armory they have it for $71 with free shipping overnight. the thing to remember is to match your paint with the barrel. my friend bought a boomstick and could not hit crap with marbs or pmi premium, the field we play out will not let you use diablo because they said it stains. he is returning it for a freak just to have the flexiablity to shoot all paint he encounters.

thx every1 above!
the thing is, i want a high-end barrel (probably the freak) but i dont wanna spend over $200 on the set. In, the future, i'll get a higher end gun so i would like the freak to match it. If anyone would like to sell me a set for under $200, it'd be great. Or, you could tell me a URL for a set under $200!
If i cant get a freak set, i think i mite settle for boomstick (or something in the same level of performance). Can anyone tell me what paints work best w/ the boomer? I want a few choices so i wont have to buy only one brand of paint.
Thanks again everyone and keep giving your tips, advice, facts, and recommendations!

Well, you could get the freak and not all of the inserts for 200.00. Paintball Gear will sell you the barrel, and then you can buy individual inserts. As you go on in time you can buy more inserts to finish the set.

Basically, you have a backpiece that fits on your gun, and inserts for each size of paint, if you buy a full freak set, it will come with the back piece for your gun and inserts for every size of paint... if you plan on upgrading to another gun in the future, you just have to replace the backpiece, the inserts are compatible with every backpiece
