I think the Blazer is a fantastic design. It is a marker that has 20 years of history behind it. Just what works. Also I don't think it has hit a stopping point.
PPS makes custom markers and uses what works. If somebody wants something, and it'll work well enough for PPS to do it (or endorse it for use on their markers), it will become an option.
Some people fear change. They hold on to PPS because it reminds them of the old school (I must admit, I like the old school factor myself). I fear spending vast amounts of money on useless crap. Hence the reason I bought a Blazer rather than some JABB or JAE. If this Jam bolt works. I'll add it to my Blazer. I hope it turns out good.
I don't see why it would tear up the aluminum more than normal. My Viking has seen more cycles than my Blazer will ever see during its lifetime and its fine. I think the E-Blazer would be cool. Hell I think the E-Bladed Nasty would be cool as well. The funny thing is that I just slapped a single trigger on my Blazer and I love it now more than ever. I think the more available options the better. It will allow people to trully customize their markers.
Hey don't forget that one of the upgrades listed on Palmers site is delrin orings fellas. I have them installed on every PPS gun I own and have yet to see any serious wear, so I don't see a problem with delrin at all.
I've done some prototyping and testing work for JAM in the past and I called Richard this morning who verified that there is a Blazer JAM bolt prototype that is currently in testing. I cannot provide a release date for this product, and I wouldn't expect one to be forthcoming until a week or two prior to release for sale. The B2K bolt became a minor fiasco when the first run were not machined correctly, so I wouldn't expect to hear a firm date until the bolts are ready to be packaged for retail sales.
Just wanted to let you guys know that it's not just a rumor...
