Thumbs up how to- longer battery harness/membrane pad life!

well, today my membrane went dead, and when i went to replace it my battery harness broke too. so i decided to make sure it wouldent happen again any time soon.

you need:
JBweld
scotch tape
tooth picks
piece of cardboard
membrane pad
battery harness

first, mix your JBweld and use a tooth pick to apply it to the base of the wires on your battery harness to keep the wires from breaking and comming out.(dont get any inside the female end, cause i checked and JBweld is 100% non-conductive, so your screwed if any gets in there)

then take your membrane pad and wrap the membrane with some stotch tape, making it much stiffer and holding it togeather better

sorry for the bad up-close pics, my cam is supposed to do 3' away or more lol.

EDIT: i am in NO way responsible for any damages you inflict upon your gun while doing this mod

suggestion

I suggest using a puddy based product, you could mold Magnum Steel around the wires and connector and not worry about getting in in there unless you physically push it in there.

I also don't want to sound like a complete newb but I don't understand the taping of the membrane. What exactly are you taping, the buttons or the green ribbon connector?

I thought the failure of membranes was from the internal switch inside the membane screwing up, if that is so, how does the tape help?

You tape the green ribbon so it doesnt rip as easy. Most failure is do to tears or cuts in the ribbon causing it to malfunction.

Nice job worr lord
