is there a non-complicated angel?

I desperately want to buy an angel but already went thru hell with one. I owned an IR3 Fly for one day before I sold it (I made a profit don't worry). I couldn't stand how friggin complex it was. I couldn't even get it to actually shoot. (Live mode, with cops on or off it was no good)

I'm just wondering if the newer angels or maybe the 05 Speed is less complex. I have a mag right now and want an electro and something more air efficient.

help.

With the LCD screen the IR3 was hardly complex, damn how hard could it be? Speed would be less "complicated" for your I guess, turn on and play, might need LPR adjustment but every gun usually does.

so if the speed doesn't have an LCD wouldn't it be MORE complicated since it has most of the adjustability that an LCD angel would?

or are their less settings and features to mess with on a speed?

i don't care about lpr adjustments and mechanical stuff I just get pissed off when it's a chore to shoot the gun. I sold the IR3 to a friend for 700 and he still can't get it to shoot.

Yes, you turn it on, and play if you dont want to mess with LPR.

I was saying with the LCD Screen it would be easier to change the settings, what settings are tripping him up?

My Fly is pretty straight-forward. Turn on, feed paint, shoot. I could futz with the settings, but if it's working fine, why bother?

There's no settings messing him up it just won't frikken fire. I turned it on, put it on LIVE and click nothing. So I dropped a ball in. click nothing. So i tested cops and it was fine.

gassed it up, turned it on, LIVE, COPS on > pull the trigger and nothing happens once again.

Now you say you can turn the speed on and go but looking at WDP's site it's saying basically holding the trigger for 2 secs changes a setting. (can't remember which)

Holding the trigger for two seconds turns the eye on/off if I recall.

If you didnt mess with COPS settings and the COPS settings were fine then your COPS is messed up, send it to WDP or somewhere close like some master tech place.

so I'm guessing the Speed is a pure Semi-Auto gun right?

ok.... besides what these folks have been dissing you on.... the ir3 fly was way to complex to be practical and i didnt like it either. if you are looking for the simplest Angel around then it is definatly the 05 speed. it has everything you need to shoot darts without having to mess around with the functions of an lcd. flip a switch, ur eyes are already on and if you got paint and air you are ready to mow down sum muppets. the 05 speed is as painly as i can put it: simple..... the trigger adjustment is even so easy a toddler could figure it out (if he didnt eat the allen keys first). if you read the manual thoroghly then you should be fine

- and yes it is true automatic..... no ramping, full auto, the board does have debouce settings in which if you turn all the debounce off it will give the trigger a chance of bouncing more often.... the debounce settings are easy to change if you read the manual and are intended to be set to "remove" bounce not increase it.... however that is not the case with some people

the trigger probably isnt even adjusted right. if u pull the trigger and nothing happens, obviously its something with the board/ opto switch. u could have sent it to an mt and had it fixed or just adjust the trigger a little bit.

i dont think u have the brains to even shoot an electro because u gotta mess with dwell tr/db, trigger settings and all that stuff. u just simply need to step it up and learn to work on ur **** instead of complaing how "complicated" it is. just keep with ur mech so u dont have to worry about any adjustments. no matter who u are, u need to tweak ur gun for better performance unless it is working good for u already. but no electro just comes out of the box and is ready to rip.

what is that supposed to mean? cockers need some good settings to be fast (requires adjustment), shockers need dwell adjusted, timmys cam have the BIP delay, db and a few other good things adjusted. an NME is basically a timmy so just read about the timmy.

shall i go on?

I don't know enought about nme's so 'll let that one slide. But are you seriously comparing timing a cocker to operating an lcd or led menu. LCD- use buttons with letters and numbers taught in kindergarten. LED- one click, two click, red light, green light. While some might be harder to program than others, don't ever admit it was too complicated to use. That's embarassing. Don't say i've never owned an angel before or an old angel, I have a 2k1 lcd- not that hard to adjust. Buttons are good. So are brains and manuals.

agreed.

Okay, so you think cocker timing is easy? then turning on a gun, shooting should be cake.

Also, what the person said about the opto switch is correct. having it set too far back, you won't hear a click. so, you take off the grips, then the frame, don't even need to take out the solenoid and other plugs. then fix the toe/trigger whatever.

Angel's are simpler than spiders. I hope you knoe how to clean your bolt on an angel?

just read the manual, hit the correct button's, adjust accordingly. And Alot of guns come out the box ready to shoot, just not always at top performance. thats where adjusting come's in handy.

how old are you? j/w
check your solenoid connections, then adjust your trigger so that it as long as possible- if that works, adjust the trigger accordingly. or maybe youre opto sensor is broken.

if that doesnt work, i say trade it for a BE stingray bc youre a dummy.

on a side note for the guy above who said that he owned a fly ir3, they do not have debounce settings i distinctly remember that was a feature of the a4.
