Alright. The evolve kit has been out awhile now so anyone who has one post about your experiences with them. I am thinking about getting one but want to hear that the bugs have been ironed out and also hear some first hand success stories. For those of you who have done the install, what probs and positives have you noticed? For the first person who is going to say search, I did. I even went to the evolve forums. Very few people have been offering first hand observations.

The install was easy although im mechanically inclined. It does make a difference. The kick and report were reduced. I did experience the valve seal ripping as others. I shot a case through it and the seal ripped off. This happened yesterday. Evolve sent an email the same day saying the remodeled valve/seals are on there way. Will be happy to receive it. I don't want to return to stock. I only shot a case through it so I have no efficiency numbers

Interesting Topic...

I would like to hear about any Fly's with the evolve... ease to install? improvements in performance... significant or unnoticeable?

I am also considering the Evolve, but am leaning towards the "lite" kit w/o the adjustable lpr cap. From what I have read it seems that the majority of problems were as a result of that. In the v.2 kits the cup seal problems are suppose to be repaired.

I got the original newton kit back at Commander's Cup in November. I shot maybe 1000 rounds through the gun and when I removed the valve, the oring seal was on it's way out. I got the replacement cup seal along with shorter volumizer/valve 2 weeks ago and it's been flawless. I do agree that the adjustable lpr has it's problems. Some people are successful using it and others aren't. It's all due to the manufacturing tolerances and you have to live with it. I do occassionally get a blooper shot (barely makes it out of the barrel) when I'm shooting with the newton kit but it sure beats chopping! By the way, I put it on an 03 Speed. I have no need for it on my JD Fly.

i just got my force 4 back with Q version. i had the v2 low end version installed with out the lpr adjuster. the things i noticed were that very very little kick but i dont know if its just me but my gun sounds unusually loud. i must say the look and the no kick make this gun amazing.

There's a couple of differences in the V1 kit VS the V2 kit. The newer style cup seals are a gimme, but people who are saying get a "lite" kit probably don't know that the V2 kit comes with a redesigned LPR cone in the LPR upgrade (basically they drilled the middle of it for better gas flow). I bought the V2 kit after waiting for the fixes and glad I did. If you set it up, according to instruction, you should have no problems. I had great success with my kit altogether. very little kick compared to stock. Less report (quiter). And I'm not noticing ANY shootdown that the owners of the old V1 kit have complained about. I think it's one of the best upgrades for your angel right now. The reason why I say this is because you get actuall results after installing the kit. A barrel and trigger job would be the next two best upgrades, BUT this is just my opinion. $150 is not THAT expensive for an upgrades that works. Again - my opinion.

I thought that the drilled out middle of the lpr cone was done by a few people that were having issues with recharge rate and not Evolve?

all tools are provided if you get the full kit, if you only get the valve and hammer then you dont get the ram removal thinggy which i found very very helpful to have.....

btw, i am running the full evolve newton valve lpr adjuster and all on my 05 speed and so far there have been no problems whatsoever.... i absolutly love it! it was the best investment i ever made to my Angel.

my newton lite is in the mail, from what ive heard the lpr adjuster is the source of all the problems with the evolve and I have the angel tool kit so adjusting it shouldnt be hard and if the std lpr is any good when it comes out I can always get that.

what makes the newton valve so popular? is it because it's soft on the paintballs or it makes the gun shoot fast? how does it make the gun shoot fast? do you change the settings on the board, is so what settings are people using with the valve? Thanks.

^^ well said but the point of the full kit is to get everything evolve has to offer and make the install process a little easier.... the lite is just the newton valve and hammer.... the cost consious person who only wants the proformance out of the evolve kit and doesnt care about the lpr adjuster should get the lite
