My case of diablo heat at home measures at .683 at the largest part, and down to as little as .667 at the middle seam... Chart says .693, I say no way

the problem is that for some reason, almost all paint manufacturers have been making paint a lot smaller. Like, the standard used to be about 689 ish. Now, with some of the rec paint, my 679 freak insert is too big now. These were probably all right when he posted (2005), but now I'd go even as far to say that none of them are probably right.

Yeah, Valken Paintball sizes are not here. I use these because they are cheap and pretty good. I would just like to get a good match :-D. Thanks for the help!

The reason is that with the economy the way it is, the paint manufacturers have sized paint smaller to save a bit of money. And there is no longer a huge variance in paint size like there used to be. Almost all paint now is in the .682 to .685 range. Lately I have mostly been using a sly carbon barrel w/ .683 back, or a .685 stiffi, and they work fine with all paint we have been using lately, mostly x-ball, evil, and marb.

Oh, and also I might add that the paint manufacturers probably own stock in the barrel manufacturers...

This needs to be re-updated with accurate info. Paintballs have changed a lot in the past 7 years and so will their size.
