You have no idea what his calls were about - from the sidelines you have no clue what the 1-4-1 was for.

It's childish to shoot refs. I mean comeon, they are there to make sure the game goes smoothly and *fairly*. Should have DQ'd the guy. Extremely poor sportsmanship.

You guys suprise me. Yes, paintballs hurt, do they hurt ALOT? enough to compare it to a beating by a 6 foot basketball player? Heck no. The frikken pain goes away in 5 mins, AN HOUR at most. COME ON

The psychological effects are similar if not worse than being humiliated in front of a crowd, and most of the pain from a butt kicking goes away in like 10 mins anyway. But I forgot it was okay cause he made a mistake, so everytime you make a mistake we should shoot you with a bunch of paintballs. It is the principal that is important anyway not the physical pain, becuase unless you do permanent damage pain will go away. So in a sense thay puts it on par with an *** whopping. Why don't we just put you two in front of a crowd, pull down your pants and spank you so you guys can feel what that ref did.

It lasts 5mins of pain...
From reffing the nppl I have 2 SCARS on my neck. The one that my friend got hit with by the ton ton looked pretty nasty.

This is my 3rd season reffing the nppl. I would have to say ( not bragging ) one of the top refs that knows all the rules, respects all the players even when cursing at yelling, and gets along with all the players.

I dont ref for the money. I ref because i love the sport and i know me being a ref results in a better game then some other person reffing that has never reffed before.

I will say that alot of teams have gotten ALOT better dealing with sitsuations when the calls go against them. It is still a joke with division 3 teams, mainly since they are kids and yell and cry about everything.

With such disrespect to my fellow friends and refs i can honestly say i am done. I just hope enough "good" refs return.

*meant SEASON not session

Refs are on the field to maintain order and ensure rules are enforced. If they start letting players light up refs just because they player didn't like something the ref did, the refs would lose all credablilty on the field and chaos would ensue. It is totally inexcusable what the Ton Tons player did, the refs physical or emotional pain has nothing to do with it. It was a total slap in the face to the NPPL and paintball in general.

That sucks man, but what do the players expect. If they treat the refs like crap they aren't going to put up with it. I wanted to ref for a while, I love the game and thought it would be a fun thing to do. But after seeing some of the beatings those guys take and this whole incident I'm still not shure.
