Site Downtime
Last night (5/6/02) at around 6PM eastern time the site went down. Kyle (the user formerly known as KrON, pbn's system admin) went to the collocation building today only to find out that the server's power supply had burnt out. We have since ordered a new power supply and a backup power supply which we are expecting to receive on Friday May the 10th at the latest. Power supplies are generally not a cause for server problems and I wouldn't expect it to happen again.
I apologize to the users for this untimely issue and I assure you that we are doing everything we can to prevent it in the future. I understand how much business is done on this site and I am sorry for those of you who have had deals and trades interrupted becuase of the downtime.
Kyle rigged up a power supply for the server as a temporary solution before the new one arrives. Once he gets the new power supply he is going to install it, which will lead to about a half hour of downtime on Thursday or Friday depending on which day he gets the power supply.
On behalf of the staff and administration at PbNation.com I apologize once more and thank you in advance for your sympathy.

your account was deleted? are you sure you just didnt have the wrong password? i wonder how many other acounts were deleted
so you guys are moving slow too? right now i think im going to take a break from pbn because it seriously takes 5 min just to get to the impulse forum from yahoo, then another 5 min to get into a thread and post about it, but it hasnt been this bad before

No, I checked, Python14 is no longer a member here. And yes, it's running slow for me too.
Oh ok, thanks man. I don't know the specifics tho.
