Well most rainmakers come at an extremely good price and give you good performance right out of the box. After a few easy and cheaps mods it will run with almost any gun out there with no problem.

Also, I hear the Rainmaker is loud..and good for getting them newbies to duck, thinking that it is something big, since it is normal for most people to think a loud boom equals something big..especially so if it is really fast.. I mean, like 7 or 8 a second, and wham, you got the newbies thinking its an automatic cannon or something. Very intimidating...I need to get me one..
But dont believe what I say, since I have no experience with a Rainmaker.

Visit http://www.beog.org for all your Brass Eagle Needs! Well, some of them at least.
Also, if you say BE sucks to me, or if I see if after I suggest a BE Product, well, you got a few people who are gunna get on your..uh..case.

GET DRUNK!!
|
NOOOO!!!!!
Don't wast your money on a BRASS EAGLE gun they ALL SUCK! I know I first got a Raptor and kept clean and well maintained and it still sucked then craped out. So I thought I would get a better Electro gun and saw the rainmaker!! I played for a couple of games with it and kept it in great condition but even when it was working as good as it could it would chop paint often was wildly inacurate and I got ridaculed for owning one. I had that for about 2 months when I got shot in the gun an it broke! The repair would have cost me 60$ and I don't think it was worth that much new. I then bought a spyder compact which is half the price and twice as good. after about a year and a half I got a stock cocker(great gun) and used and cosemized that for about 2 years and just reascently bought a ripper intimidator and love it.
If you really want an electro marker and don't have all that much money get a spyder electro such as the e99, flash, em1, amg, imagine or esprit or you could get an exelorator but I have no experiance or views on that gun. Just NOT a BRASS EAGLE.
If you have more money and want a higher end electro go for a classic intimidator, defiant, impulse, bushmaster or shocker. just NOT a RAINMAKER.
If you don't want an electro and you want an entry level gun get a tippman 98, pro carbine, or some spyder.
For a higher non electro get a cocker they are great and endlessly upgradable and costemizable. You could get a mag but I don't really like them, just preference.
So the moral to this story is don't EVER buy BRASS EAGLE (exept for the stingray) because they SUCK.
Hope this helps,
-Nick

Nick, what kind of bad experiences did you have with the Rainmaker? If you haven't had any, then keep your worthless opnions to yourself. However, if you really owned a Rainmaker and you had a bad experience with it, then let us know.

The only thing I think could break from being hit is the LP hoses with the plastic fittings. If you were playing shroudless with plastic fittings you deserve what you got. and it wouldn't take $60 to fix. I think someone just wants to start a flame war up and has no proof so he's making up a story...

That's the best answer I've heard so far. It doesn't matter what anyone thinks you should get. Get what you want and are comfortable with. You're the one that's going to be using it, not anyone here.
If you're asking if a Rainmaker will be reliable and perform, yes.
If it's possible, try one out.
