Stabilizer Questiom

I just recieved my first Stabilizer, and when I took it apart for a cleaning I noticed that it's an awful lot like Bob Longs Torpedo reg. Is the only differance between these two regs. length?

All the regs I have taken apart look the same, The difference is in quality.

The Bob Long Torpedo reg's design was taken from a Palmer Stabilizer.

But they also left out a few detials and that's why a lot of the torpedo regs are DOA right out of the box. The Macdev regs and the Stabalizer regs seem to have the exact same internals. Honestly though, how different can high end regs be in design?

I'm trying to decide between my Stabilizer or my Sidewinder. Any suggestions?

Tough call. If the marker you plan to use it on is a mech, that you may want to run Co2 in, then the stabilizer will probably be the call. Although the sidewinder can work fine with Co2 also and provides that swivel bottom for easier line placement.
